As well as writing my Hoenn fanfic, I decided to do something original. There's a fanfic of every main region, so I thought...what about the Orange League? Has anyone ever written about it? So, based on knowledge I'm obtaining on the Internet due to the fact that I stopped watching the anime after Ash conquered Kanto, I'm going to attempt to write about the Orange League. I hope to find myself successful. Be aware that since there are no games based on this league and I've only seen one episode of the Orange League, it's not going to be 100% accurate. I'm going to add my own ideas as well, and I probably won't stick to the anime at all.
*I do not own Pokemon franchise or anything to do with Pokemon. This is just a fanfic. (for all you SOPA people)

Here's the Prologue! It's very short, but it's only meant to hook people into the story and anticipate the first chapter. It's supposed to be very different from my Hoenn fanfic.

Prologue
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sage Pallet, and I live on Pinkan Island in the Orange Archipelago. You've never heard of me? I don't blame you. Most people haven't heard of trainers that only went through the Orange League. You've probably heard of my sister, Leaf. She's the current Champion of Kanto. She conquered Team Rocket, the Elite Four, and everything else in Kanto, although I've heard a boy named Ethan from Johto is currently training to defeat her. I have another sister named Sky, but you've probably never heard of her either.

So why do I live on Pinkan Island? Well, I did live in Pallet Town. My great-grandfather had something to do with creating the town, so it was named after his last name (hence the name Sage Pallet). My father got a job on Pinkan Island to keep everyone away from the unusually pink pokemon (which all look normal to me), my mother didn't want to leave Pallet Town, so my father took Sky and I to Pinkan while my mother and Leaf stayed in Pallet.

When I turned on the TV and saw that my 11-year-old sister, Leaf, had become the Champion of Kanto, I wanted to become a Champion too. Now, I am 11 years old, Sky is 13, and Leaf is 15, still the Champion. I needed a starter pokemon, but all of the Orange Archipelago's pokemon are also native to Kanto, so Professor Ivy (my region's pokemon professor) didn't have any special starters. So, with special permission from Officer Jenny, my father got me a pink Oddish. That pokemon got me started on my adventure.

Anyway, enough about my personal life. Don't you want to know my story? Sit back, relax, and enjoy my lovely adventure...

nice introduction! this seems like a very interesting story. i'm curious as to how the sage got to be champion.

Thanks! I wanted to be original, so, yeah :P she's not exactly "the sage", that's just part of the title. Her name is Sage. I gave Leaf's sisters nature-based names.

Great start and great idea doing an Orange Island based fic, you are right... You don't see those everyday. Sage seems like an interesting character, but be careful not to fall into the trap of "telling instead of showing." I know this is just the prologue, but Sage sort of told everyone point blank everything in the prologue. Just be sure to let your description and writing show what happening as opposed to simply listing thing.

Anyways, you are a talented writer so I'm sure the story will be great! Keep it up :)
