According to this thread:http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=23737, it has been recently announced that The CW is getting rid of Kids' WB after twelve years and are replacing it with another 4kids block.

This is an organization for everyone who does not want to see Kids' WB go. We may be able to fix this wrong by sending letters to The CW, telling them that we do not want to see Kids' WB go. In our letters we must tell them that this will only make the ratings worse. When this block airs, we must all boycott it if you wish to ever see Kids' WB again. If we can't save it on Saturdays, maybe they will be able to bring their weekday block back.

EDIT: This thread is for supporters only. If you do not support this organization and post here, you will be asked to leave!

You may send The CW, an email here.

Jesus Christ. It was the WB THEMSELVES who decided to cancel the block.

They're no longer interested in having the cartoon block, as most of their shows will probably find a home on Cartoon Network anyway. 4kids merely purchased the block afterward because they wanted to.

KidsWb is dead. 4kids has a signed a 5 year contract with the CW to program Saturday mornings starting Fall '08.

I understand your intentions, but why is it that most Pokemon fans have virtually no clue on how the real world works? Change is inevitable, stop trying to fight it.

Their contract with 4kids doesn't mean that they still don't have an option of bringing Kids' WB back to weekdays or another time slot. The decision to get rid of it was the WB's and CBS's idea. From what I know, this decision was not made by their animation department at all.

Also, please do not post here if you are not a supporter of this organization.

Yes, write letters, that worked so well for getting the old voice actors back. They don't care what you think. That block is for children who will watch anything, not a bunch of teenagers. And by the way? That goes for Pokemon too. They do not give a shit if a handful of people want the old va's back, if kids will still buy Pokemon shit, they will change nothing.

Thanks for the bashing of this organization and SOVA. That was very much needed. Didn't you read my first post. It clearly says that this thread is for members only. So, I am going to have to ask you kindly to please leave.

The news has left fans of not only comic book-based animation but also long term franchises like Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry speculating on the future of their favorite weekend programs. According to the source, fans of The Batman, Legion of Super Heroes, the upcoming Spectacular Spider-Man and other comic book and animated stables should not be too concerned.

Simply put, the end of Kids WB! does not mean the end of Warner Bros. Animation, the source explained, pointing out that they are two completely separate entities. For many shows, Kids WB! was the outlet Warner Bros. Animation series used, but those series aren’t going to be cancelled at the end of the 2007-2008 season. “We are exploring a number of other avenues to direct this programming, from other networks to direct-to-DVD options,” the source said. “There are a wide field of possibilities to be explored.”

That is quoted from the article I posted earlier. It goes on, into a VERY DETAILED account of the near LIMITLESS possibilities for WB animation to be released. So, basically, there's nothing TO save.

So...what are we trying to save?

The crappy Kids WB adverts? Unlike SOVA which atleast has something I can see people wanting, this won't save anything.

Most of Kids WB shows will probably end up on their big brother CN, like Xialoin Showdown, Yugioh, and Pokemon did.

Really, I thought this was a parody of SOVA at first.

I don't see the point in trying to save KidsWB....

The thing is, KidsWB was taken over by 4Kids, and since 4Kids already has a whole channel for the time being (4KidsTV) - this means that for the time being, they might actually show some old programs on the new, 4Kids (CW) channel.

I mean, they can't air the same shows that they're currently airing on 4KidsTV, so that only leaves one option: once the new channel starts airing 4Kids programs, they could actually air older 4Kids shows like Pokemon.

So yeah, I was kinda hoping they would show old Pokemon reruns on there (anything from seasons 1 through 8). ^^;

That's exactly the problem. If the shows land on CN, then how are people like me who don't have cable going to these shows. Not everyone has cable you know. I don't have time for downloading every single Kids' WB show. I already have that problem with Pokemon since they kicked it off.

Also, you thought his was a parody of SOVA. You do realize that I happen to be a SOVA member. Why would a SOVA member make fun of SOVA? That doesn't make any sense.

You have a good point that they may show Pokemon. The thing is that I am not sure if 4kids still has the rights to air it. Didn't PUSA say that they have the rights to all episodes now. I hope that is not true. If they do decide to air Pokemon, I can promise you that I will decide to end this organization. That is unless Kids' WB brings back Pokemon before it ends.

So get it. Where I live, you either have cable or no TV at all, there are no free channels here.
I would if I could. Believe me, when I say that I begged my parents almost everyday for it since I was 2.
That's your problem.
Most Kids WB shows don't even make it to the internet. I couldn't download it even if I wanted to.

You're basically asking people to try the tried and failed methods that SOVA has already done.

Well, don't forget, Habunake. We're still around.

Despite people thinking we've already failed, or whatever, some people are still in SOVA trying to get the original VAs back. ;-)

We haven't succeeded in our efforts yet, but that doesn't mean that we've failed. Afterall, good things come to those who wait.

Also, there's the Mastermind Redub which could've been a result of SOVA's efforts (though, that's somewhat debatable, since there's no proof)....

Yes, PUSA does indeed have the rights all Pokemon episodes. They were the ones that released Lucario on DVD (with Mastermind). And even if 4Kids still had the rights to the episodes they produced, it is virtually unheard of for networks to air two year long plus reruns consistantly on Saturday mornings. So no! That wouldn't work out.

Also Habunake (and others too). Give Pokeyug a chance as long he feels strongly enough about this and he has faith that he can make a difference if a certain course of action is taken.

Yes, 4Kids and CW have already signed a joint contract (allegedly) and it pretty much looks like this plan will go through despite any potential fan campaign. And it's also true that SOVA has failed in it's initial campaign to prevent the cast change from happening in the first place (of course they can continue to have that change reversed for as long as they want, regardless of what realistic chances they have of making that happen).

But this campaign is different at this point in time. Unlike with SOVA, the deal with the powers that be (in this case 4Kids and CW) has yet to fully materialize. It's still eleven months out until September 08, and like any contract, this one could voided before then.

So yeah, give him a chance guys.
