Emeraude's emerald eyes looked out the window of the train. His knee-length green hair was in it's usual braid with a yellow stripe of bangs hanging loosely to the side. At the current time they were passing by the country side. Emeraude came from a long line of wizards and witches. He was the oldest of three boys and had just turned the age to enter the academy. He wondered what element he would turn out to be. Every witch and wizard had one element that they could use: Fire, Water, Earth, or Air. Emeraude's family was usually fire or air with the rare earth thrown in. He actually hoped for water just to be different and possibly outcasted from his family as his previous plan had failed. Just a little longer and the fifteen year-old wizard would be arriving at Prism Academy. There he would have five years to complete before graduating at 20.

Rell looked up from the book she was reading and stared out at the window of the train. They were passing through the remote countryside. Rell put her book down and ran a finger towards her thick wavy dark blonde hair. She was finally going to be on her own, but she couldn't help but feel just the slightest bit anxious as the train neared Prism Academy with every second. Rell came from a family of somewhat distinguished water and air witches and mages. She had an older brother who had graduated Prism Academy a year ago and had a successful career in magic. Her brother was their parent's pride and joy, and Rell's object of admiration; however, Rell was not going to emulate her brother. She was her own person and she would succeed in her own way. With that thought, Rell's anxiousness disappeared and she was looking forward to the five years she would spend in Prism Academy.

The headmaster watched as the train neared the school. "Something is off about the students this year. I can sense it," Rasche a gryphon said. He was old with all his fur and feathers grey, but knowledgeable about things and his sense were keen. The old headmaster nodded.

Emeraude watched as the train came into a station and noticed carriages waiting for them and boats after those. Magic schools were always like that, difficult to get to.

When Rell woke up from her nap, she noticed that the train had entered a station, and she could see the boats lined up outside waiting to pick the students up. She could hear the students were chatting excitedly among themselves but an announcement suddenly interrupted the chatting, giving the students instructions to exit and what to do after getting off the train.

Rell stared in silent amazement at the sight before her. The academy was structured like a castle with high walls surrounding the inside to prevent intruders from entering. Complete and utter isolation, thought Rell as she and her group followed the escort they had been issued to through the gates of the academy.

The students were lead to a large high-ceiling room. There there was ten rows of picnic like tables with varieties of food on them. All but two of the tables were filled with students of the academy and each had a flag over it with a symbol. There were five different flags, ten total with one per row. The first flag was over the end rows and the others followed to where the same flag wasn't next to each other until the middle two tables. These were for the first year students the Sol Dorm. The first years were directed to sit at the two rows for them and to listen to the headmaster. Emeraude looked in awe at the room as candles floated with magic above and at the fine stone that it was made of. He sat down next to a girl with blonde hair.
@Elysion;

Rell sat in one of the large tables for the first year students and looked at the variety of foods in front of her. She was immediately reminded of how hungry she actually was from the journey to Prism Academy, but decided not to touch anything as there was most likely an announcement to be made soon. So Rell directed her eyes toward the floating candles flickering right above her. She stopped as soon as she heard a figure sit beside her and allowed her gaze to set upon them. The wizard who sat next to her had very long braided green hair and strips of blond hair for bangs. He was unusual looking, but beautiful nonetheless. She wasn't sure what to say, so she decided to just greet him with a hello.

"I'm well," Rell responded and gave a small smile. Although very hungry, Rell thought as she eyed the food with the corner of her eyes. "How are you?"

"I'm Sariella Avara, but you can call me Rell. Its nice to meet your acquaintance Emeraude."

"Likewise," he replied. The name Sariella sounded like music to his ears as did it's shortened version. Before he could say another word though the headmaster who was at a special row in front of the others, stood up teachers sitting on both sides. "Welcome first years to Prism Academy. Here you will learn about magic. How to use it as well as your element. You will learn the history of magic and in some cases your families. You will spend the next five years learning all about the world of Witches and Wizards. As first years you are in the Sol dorm, Second years in the Dawn dorm, Third in the Twilight dorm, Fourth in the Dusk dorm, and finally fifth years in the Luna dorm. You will share your room with another student of the same gender as the dorms separate boys and girls. Your schedules will be posted in your dorms. Here is where you will eat your meals. And with that I end my speech. If you have any questions or concerns then feel free to ask me or a teacher. Now you may all eat," the Headmaster said before sitting back down.

Sariella looked up as soon as she heard the headmaster greet the students, welcoming them to Prism Academy. Sol, Dawn, Twilight, Dusk, Luna... She repeated in her mind as the headmaster said the names of the dorms. She was going to be sharing a dorm with another person, as expected, and hoped that she would be lucky enough to share a dorm with a kind person. But none of those things mattered anymore as soon as the headmaster ended his speech and announced that everyone could eat.

Sariella wanted to just take a bit of everything hastily, but decided to take her time as she didn't want to embarrass herself and look too unrefined. Besides, she was sure she wouldn't be able to finish her dinner if she took a bit of everything, even with her current hunger. She took some meat and vegetables and placed them on her plate, and began eating.

Emeraude felt odd eating in the place as he wasn't used to it. He decided it would be best to start a conversation. "Do you know your element yet Rell?" he asked her.

(Do you have this subscribed? Also what two elements do you plan on giving her?)

Rell was happily taking her time with her food when Emeraude suddenly spoke to her, asking her whether she knew what her element was already. "Ah - well, no, I don't..." Rell replied. "Do you?"

(I do have this subscribed. And I'm thinking of giving her Fire and Air. How about Emeraude?)

Emeraude shook his head no. "I don't yet. My family usually end up with air or fire, and occasionally earth. Never water though," he said unsure of why he explained that.

(Whatever two you don't choose since it doesn't really matter to me)

Rell took in what Emeraude had told her. Never water...and occasionally earth. Rell was always hoping she could possess earth or fire, but given that her family always wound up with water or air, she was sure that she would not possess either of those elements. "My family usually ends up with water or air, and only water or air, so I'm guessing I will have either of those two elements."

(Oh, okay.)
