(BMGf totally doesn't have a discussion forum for other video games. ;-;...)

The Sims 2 is totally my favorite game... it's a simulation of human life... =O The Sims 2 for Computers (not the console version) is totally expandable so you can totally add more features using hacks or buying and installing expansion packs..

The Sims 2, however, for me isn't fun in low quality mode... all the textures looks totally... ewww..... Thats why you need a dedicated graphics card (nVidia Geforce 6600 or higher or ATi Radeon x700 or higher), instead of intel graphics (eww) and don't even try playing it on a Mac Mini, MacBook or a iMac with intergrated graphics, it won't be fun at all because the graphics quality is low and performance is like totally horrible. Turning off these effects like totally makes it unrealistic...

Sims 2 rules my world.

On my old computer (haven't gotten it on my new computer yet) I have a neighborhood with several characters from a Pokémon RP I play called The Network... that includes Brock and an OC of mine, Ariel. Brock has a Family aspiration, Ariel has Knowledge.

Well, when the two met, Brock liked her of course, but just wanted to slowly try building a relationship with her - be her friend, then her best friend, and so on. But something weird kept happening - Ariel wouldn't leave him alone. She'd call him once or twice a day, stop by on a whim... I got the feeling something was up. I left his one-person household for a bit and went to the family she was in.

She had the strangest want, considering the two were just regular friends at this point and she's a Knowledge-aspiration Sim with a heavy Shy lean... she wanted to flirt with Brock. It was so cute, somehow. So I locked it and, when the opportunity came about, invited Brock over and let her flirt with him.

One hand-holding later, the two skipped immediately from just being regular friends to being head-over-heels in love with each other. No best friends, no crush - they shot up to the top of the relationship bar in a crazy amount of time. It was the most insanely good chemistry I had ever seen between two Sims. Guess Brock's got better luck in the Sims universe than the Pokémon universe.

(Currently, they are married with two daughters. Brock's life aspiration - since I got the college expansion - is to marry off six children, which means he first wants to have at least six children... Ariel's, on the other hand, is to reach the top of the medical career ladder, though she doesn't have much time for it since she spends most of her time on maternity leave. It's beyond amusing.)

I soo totally know about it... hmmm... but it's like a totally interesting story.

I don't have any stories yet... =(.... I wished there were sims of the Pocket Monsters voice actors, it will be totally AWESOME!

I don't have any for the voice actors - but if I get Sims 2 on my new computer, I'll be sure to package the Brock's AG clothes I've made and make 'em available for you guys.

I love Sims 2. But it's not a game I can play all the time. I'll play for several days for anywhere from a week to a month.. and then NOT play for several months (I'm currently in one of those "not playing" times).

I used to play a lot of different families I'd create - usually based on my own characters or characetrs from fandoms I was into at the time - but recently I stick to only two main families that I play "Legacy Challenge style" with. I've been having a lot of fun with it.. one family is on generation 13, the other on generation 6. I'm waiting until the Pets expansion comes out (finally! I've been waiting for this one!) before I get back into playing again.. and I'll probably create a third main family to play.

Also, I'm very download happy when it comes to new hair and new furniture meshes. I have so much custom content in my game it's sad. XD; Also dangerous.. the Twins/Triplet/Quad hack. Taking care of four babies at one time is insane. @_@

High Poly meshs sooo totally makes it totally slow, if you don't have a nvidia or ati graphics card. =(... My game takes 5 min to load, and I like have 3.15 GB of custom content... It's totally hard to manage what hacks installed in the game.

I want the pets expansion pack sooo much, but I totally have to wait for the hacks to be *coughcompatiblecough*

Am I the only one who doesn't like playing the game with hacks? ^^o

I guess... but I use hacks sometimes because some things are like totally annoying, such as... your sim automaticly does hang out, which is totally annoying...

and also the infamous kicky pag game too and automatic dance solo. =/

Turning the automatic thingy off will make things harder, but hacks can make things more realistic too... =p

The downside of global hacks is that if you like totally install a new Expansion Pack, like The Sims 2: Pets, they might not work with the new EP...

Some hacks make things way too easy. I did look into downloading objects a while back but there's way too many recolours and not enough original stuff.

I also go in and out though I don't have The Sims 2 installed on my laptop since I don't trust my graphics card to not crash on me.

I try not to use too many hacks. I think most of the ones I have in my game right now are to cut down on annoyances. Such as...

Abort Bed Making - After one of the expansions, I noticed my sims became obsessive about making the bed.. and they wouldn't stop even if you tried to drop the action (meaning I had kids who would miss the bus because they'd get downstairs, remember they wanted to make their bed, and have to troop all the way back upstairs and across the house to make their bed).

Anti-Baby Lecture - Because it annoyed me when I sent a sim to go change a baby's diaper, only to have them drop that action in favor of lecturing the baby about making such a stink.

Quieter Doorbell - So the whole household doesn't wake up when the stupid doorbell rings (that nearly killed one of my pregnant sims once.. she was exhausted, but people kept ringing the doorbell so she couldn't sleep)

Hugging Hack - Stops kids from running out to greet a parent getting home from work (annoying to me, since I usually que up a long line of actions for my sims.. and it bothered me to have all of those drop just so they could go hug the parent).

No Aging Swarm - Everyone doesn't drop everything to go see someone age transition. They only go if they're in the same room and not occupied doing something else.

No "What's This?" - To stop Sims from going up to new objects all the time all, "HAY GUYS! GUYS, WHAT IS THIS THING? A TOILET? COOOOOL!"

And I think I also have, like the vampire fix and the death bug fix. I also used to have the "No A+ Cheering" hack, because having the kids come home everyday and cheering (and blocking the other kids from getting off the bus, thus making the kids getting home from school a couple hour event) was annoying.. but they fixed that in one of the expansions (kids now only cheer for an A+ after the first A+).

The only hacks I have just to have for fun gameplay are the Twins/Triplets/Quads hack.. the hack that enables adult females to get pregnant when abducted by aliens (it doesn't increase chances of abduction.. just allows females to get pregnant from it like the guys).. and a hack that puts a progress bar above the sims head when they're writing a novel so you can tell how far along they are in writing it (instead of trying to keep track on your own).

So.. I dunno. Maybe some of those hacks make the game easier (I try to avoid too many of those kind of hacks).. but I try to stick to only "Get rid of the annoyances"-type hacks.

I use "Get rid of the annoyances" hacks too, but I only have a few hacks to make the game easier... =/

Inteenimater: Allows Teenagers to become pregenent and adds more enhancements.
No Kicky Bag/Pillow Fights: This like totally annoys me when the sim keeps wanting to play kicky bag and have pillow fights... and it like totally takes awhile to cancel the action too. ;-;
Various No Autonomous hacks to prevent the sim to do some stuff such as hang out, automatic playing of the piano, and etc.
