Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, Hockey, post anything you would like to that invloves sports!

Yes! Who is your favorite team?

Mine is the Minnesota Twins because they don't buy talent like the Yankees or Red Sox. They grow their own talent and dominate every year without any money!! :ching:

Joe Mauer = god.

Good point, I am a redsox fan though, I grew up as a yankee hater so I favor them.. 2 world series wins within 5 years!
I also like the patriots, celtics, and bruins =]
What about you?

I'm assuming you're from the boston area...

I am as well, so of course I'm a Red Sox fan and a Celtics fan as well. I don't watch much hockey, and I'm actually a Tennessee Titans fan in football (it's a long story...)

really? I would never leave the patriots, they are the team i favor the most =]
the yankees are buying the whole major league its so annoying with their advantage =[

haha I am from Minnesota.

You are welcome and Merry Christmas for:

-David Ortiz
-Kevin Garnett
-Randy Moss
-Phil Kessell

Haha wow we in Minnesota are like New England/Boston's farm team!

Anyways, I liked the Red Sox before they won their two rings. I don't dislike them now, but I really liked the Red Sox team of 2004, when they had Damon, Millar, and the rest of the 'idiots' I really rooted for them when they hadnt won a series in like 80 years...especially when they were down 0-3 to the Yankees in the alcs in 2004. Wow greatest comeback ive ever seen!!!! But now that theyve won a lot, i dont root for them as much.

But as long as you hate the Yankees, you are ok in my book! Yea they piss me off...they bought sabathia, burnett, texieria, my god!! someone stop this!! I always laugh at how they havent won a series in like 8 years even tho they buy everyone

I like Ellsbury and Pedroia now tho. I hate Manny and was glad to see him go. But even you BoSox fans have to give it up to the Twins...we have a microscopic payroll and we are a playoff caliber team each and every year.

I am also a Vikings and Timberwolves fan. I don't like the Wild...bring back the North Stars!

Who are some of your favorite players in every sport besides Boston/New England players?

I like:

NFL -

Randy Moss - Dominant and my favorite player since 1998
Steve Smith - WR Carolina Panthers, great player at only 5'9"
Larry Fitzgerald - WR Arizona Cardinals...if you saw him in the playoffs..wow

Gold005, Chris Johnson of the Titans is soooo good too!! Wow. Too bad you guys lost Albert Haynesworth to free agency!!

NBA -

Kevin Durant - Oklahoma City...great scorer and I loved him at Texas.
Kevin Garnett - Will love him for life! STILL the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise.
OJ Mayo - Wolves should have drafted him.

MLB -

BJ Upton - Rays, fast and great hitter
Hanley Ramirez - SS Marlins, also great talent.
Dustin Pedroia - "How many MVPs you know that can't hit that pitch?" lol

PS Im glad to finally find some sports fans on these forums. I love sports even more than Pokemon i think...but its close.

Yes. The Yankees are completely green. Next year they will probably have their entire team in the all star game ha

Yep, my fav team too, I remember watching that when it happened, was great. I had only started watching baseball around June then and have been watching since (Its kinda hard here as when its on 1am+ in morning) but I do my best.

Also I remember (two years ago if I remember) channel 5 was showing a game with Bosox and I think it was one that decided if they stayed in or went out, it went on about 7 hours and the feed had to be cut here as "Elmo" and children's TV was about to start! Darn you Elmo! I remember this day cause I never went to bed in about 24 hours, had a shower at 7:30am, went to college very tired (I was only in 2 hours so I thought I'd survive) got on bus to go home, fell asleep on bus and lucky my friend woke me up or I'd have been miles away from my stop.

I also remember this was the day the commentators had to leave for the USA to do a five day touring thing and the game was running so long, they had to rush out of the studio and get to plane kinda fast.

And I remember another time when on Channel 5 baseball the game was running late about 8 hours it was going on, and one of the commentators was not well, he was burning up and he had to stay on until the end, that was a bit crazy.

Yep, I love baseball. Don't really like other sports as much, but I like playing tennis, soft/baseball and Basketball, maybe golf sometimes.

I actually do like the Twins a lot, Legacy. Because they play hard and actually win with a payroll that isn't as big as New York, Boston, LA etc.

And about the Titans, I'm actually okay with the Haynesworth loss. Yes, it will hurt them, but I don't think paying him $100 million would be the best for the team anyway. And yes, Chris Johnson is awesome!

I have mixed feelings on Manny. Sometimes, his antics were pretty funny. But other times he hurt the team with his stupidity. So while it was tough to see a hitter of his caliber go, I like Jason Bay a lot as well so it was alright in the end.

The idiots of 2004 are possibly my favorite team that I have ever been a fan of. They were just fun to pull for, and in the end they pulled off that amazing comeback against the hated Yankees which was simply epic.

what's the deal with Vince Young anyway? :dumb:

he's a headcase. And I'm sad because I love Vince Young. Have ever since he played for Texas. But I guess he just doesn't have the mental strength to deal with the pressure. I'm actually hoping the Titans trade Young and a third rounder to Denver for Jay Cutler.

I'm a Red Sox fan, mainly because of the area I live in. I dont follow them quite as eagerly as most, but i know enough to talk to girls about <.>

I'm an on and off Celtics fan. I watched them when they were losing, and stopped when everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

I like watching Bruins. Its alot smoother (obviously) than the other sports, its cleaner.

I Hate Football. The Patriots can suck it

I sporadically follow baseball and football.

I'm Reds and Chiefs fan, so yeah, the last few years have been fun. -.-

ouch. the chiefs look like they could get better soon. If they draft a stud at #3 this year, maybe matthew stafford, they have some good pieces in place.

wooo awesome thread. I love sports!

I'm also from the Minnesota area, since I was little. I am in love with Joe Mauer, the catcher for the Twins.

Outside of MN sports teams, I'm a gigantic New Orleans Saints fan because I was born there. Reggie Bush is hot, and really good.
