The " surf glitch" HELP

As far as I know, you can still do it even in the English versions of D/P, but not in Platinum... or rather, you can still do it, but certain event Pokemon that you could previously get through this glitch (like Darkrai and Shaymin) would not be there, since their presence is determined by whether or not you have the event item needed for them.
Edit: Ah yes, kaijin2k3's post below is right. The glitch I was referring to is that thing where you end up moving through just black space, since the map data hasn't been loaded completely yet by the game.

I haven't heard of it working on the English D/P, but there is another glitch that works on them but its much harder. I forgot the technical term they called it, but it involves moving so fast that the DS glitches up.

Its technical name is "tweaking". It only works properly in Jubilife City.
Tweaking is the international access method. Aaron's door is broken only in the Japanese versions of DP. Pt fixes it all and changes the loading method so tweaking's not as easy to do, and removes Shaymin and Darkrai until you get the items.
