The Tale of Silent Zephyr
or, How a Loner Found Meaning to Life

One beautiful, bountiful, bright summer day,
Excited little children went out to play -
All except one, who found outdoors un-fun,
So inside the cool, sheltered house that one stayed.

This child sat at the computer. What to do?
They wanted to play and have fun, but with who?
Alone with the mouse, they started to browse,
Today would probably be boring, they knew.

But lo and behold! What is this! They frowned,
A Pokémon website? With a sudden loud sound,
Fingers clacked at the keyboard, wanting to see more,
And the child felt like the happiest person in town.

For this site changed their life! Yes, yes it did:
Before, they were simply an unhappy kid,
But now they were smiling, not quietly crying,
They felt reincarnated! They no longer hid!

Freedom of expression! They got a new name,
And they felt like life never would be the same.
New threads! New places! New topics! New faces!
The kid came out of their shell and no longer felt lame.

They were excited! They were so psyched!
There were posts to be made and posts to be liked!
Things needed to get done! This was going to be fun!
But first, an introduction had to be typed:

"Hello, citizens of BMGf!
I'm Silent Zephyr - but please, call me Zeph!"

...Okay, so maybe I'm not exactly a kid. And maybe that wasn't quite how I found this site - like, at all. Oh well, nobody cares about details, right? :p

Hi everyone, I'm Zeph! I came to these forums to meet new people who have the same interests I do. No one I know IRL plays Pokémon anymore. (Which I find quite depressing.)

Random facts: my first game was Ruby, my favorite Pokémon is Mew, I own games from Gens III-V, and I have never completed a game on Pearl from start to finish despite having owned the game for 5 years, which is something I'm trying to change at the moment. I also like Mario and Zelda games, and I watch Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal from time to time.

I hope to have a lot of fun on here, and thanks for reading!

- Zeph
