Title: The Tales of Osaka (Volume One)
(The first volume is in part one of The Tales of Osaka, each part has different story that relates to the others.)
Summary: A heroine isn’t always anyone; sometimes it’s the most unexpected person. This is a tale of Luna, a girl who lives in Osaka’s “early magical” period. But what’s so magical about her time? (Fiction)
Genre: Adventure/ Fantasy (and there’s some romance…)
Rated: PG
Note: EVERYTHING BELONGS TO ME! BWAHAHAHA! Except for the name Osaka, which belongs as a place in Japan... And someone also mentioned it somewhere in bmgf...
Prologue
“They say Osaka has ten moons, and each represents a battle of our protectors, but why would protectors battle?” A young boy asked a young girl. They stood in a grassy land attempting to pull out the weeds. It was an incredibly sunny day and very hot, the young blonde boy was sweating just like the blonde haired younger girl.
They both had hazel eyes, pale skin, and wore only what appears to be a dirty beige dress. They both also had an anklet that was colored red and blue and a brown swirl birthmark. The boy had his hair tied into one large braid and was much taller then the little girl. The girl had long blonde hair that went down to her back continuously hanging loosely. The girl was also short and not as muscular as the boy. They were both skinny and had lots of scrapes, cuts and dirt on their bodies.
“I bet it’s something to do with magic!” the little girl cheered. Her outburst made the boy chuckle, her happy face and famous words always did. To him she seemed to be the cutest little magic lover, yet also the most annoying.
He replied, “You think everything is because of magic Luna, but I think its balance between light and darkness!” He smiled at her as he plucked another weed and wiped the sweat off his face.
Luna looked at him with her head just barely above the tall grass, “But isn’t that still magic Leo?” Leo laughed and picked her up onto his back, her head was now resting on his shoulder above the grass.
“I guess it is, light magic and dark magic, maybe that’s a question for grandpa Gin,” Leo thought out loud.
Then they heard footsteps from up the road. There were four guys carrying wooden poles that led to a box. The box was also wooden with two doors on each side, both covered by light purple curtains. There was a female figure sitting on her knees from inside.
“Luna it’s the princess, she must be coming to see grandpa for her father’s cure, he’s been acting up lately,” Leo informed. Luna nodded and hopped off of his back and the two bowed down to the princess of Basaba. Leo looked up for a second only to see a face peeking at him through the cotton. The face had long black hair, dark blue eyes, pale skin that looked healthy, and a silver crown with blue diamond’s that were in the shape of a sun. Leo assumed it was the princess and he saw a light blush cross her face as she immediately closed the curtain.
He heard Luna giggle, “I think the princess likes you!” He turned and gave his sister a death glare as the princess’ “ride” came to a stop at their wooden house. The men slowly descended to their knees and the princess stepped out. She wore a plain light blue dress and walked into the hut. She greeted Grandpa Gin who just nodded and granted her entrance.
Leo and Luna glanced at each other with a smile, and then ran off towards the house. Upon entering they saw the princess and a grey haired old man wearing similar clothing to theirs. This man was Grandpa Gin, he was a man who made cures, potions and believed in magic strongly.
“You know I’d prefer it if I went to see your father, it would help me to know if this really is right,” Gin sighed. He held up a vase shaped drink which had a strong herb scent with green liquid.
The princess smiled politely, “He says he doesn’t want anyone seeing him, in case he has been caught by evil. I’ve been really worried seeing as everything else didn’t work, this drink of good is the last tactic. If he has been cursed, it should remove it, however if he has been caught by evil, this will kill him and the evil spirit…”
The girl looked down sadly as she lost more of her hope. She was hoping this wouldn’t be what it would come, but sadly it is.
Leo walked over and patted her back in an attempt at comfort. The girl thanked him with slight blush and teary eyes. Luna also walked to her Grandpa and whispered, “She likes Leo a lot, and she always looks that way around him…” This made the old man chuckle.
Luna turned to the princess and asked, “If you like Leo so much, why don’t you tell us your name?” This made Gin burst out laughing, as Leo and the princess sent Luna a glare.
The princess sighed, “Very well then little girl, my name is So-Ara, and yours?”
Luna smiled up at her and pushed the two outside, “Don’t get mad, and just have him back by night fall! He’s willing to walk you home and protect you but no guarantees with bugs! Oh and my name is Luna!”
Leo turned to his sister, “You need to stop being pushy Grandpa needs to teach you your…” Leo was interrupted with a small tug on his arm. He turned to see So-Ara looking at him with shy smile.
She pointed to the road, “Why don’t we head to the hill by the river, we can watch a beautiful sunset there and swim for a bit? But first can we head to my castle for my father?” Luna smirked and closed the door as Leo blushed a bright red. The princess turned to her servants, “We just need you guys for the trip to the castle.” They all nodded and placed the poles back on their shoulders, while Leo and So-Ara hoped in.
Chapter Ended!!!
Please review and rate! I know this isn't really the most exciting and it's not very long, but next chapter it will be! I promise there will be more action.
