Welcome, all you fans of Mars, Jupiter, or Saturn, to my wonderful fanclub.
Now.
Uh.....
Begin discussing.

I wonder when Mars'll show up in the anime. I mean...... Dude, she was supposed to show up at the valley windworks and all we saw were some dumb Drifloon and a couple young Nurse Joys.
Or maybe even Jupiter.
I'm personally glad Saturn decided to show his pretty face while I was still in the mood for the anime. Now, because of the constant, repetitive theme going on right now of Team Rocket and their dumb ideas, and things slowing the trainers down, it's gotten boring. Although Maylene showing up was pretty cool. Bust she's a total wimp in the anime, not at all like the fighting spirit I saw in her while I played DP.
Anyway, back to Team Galactic commander talk.
I wonder who'd win in a fist-fight between the three of them? Blackjack Palazzo came up with this idea on the Evil Team Leader's Club, but that was a fight of course, between the evil team leaders. (by the way, Cyrus would totally win that fight with his stamina.)
I bet Jupiter would start out a wuss then get mad at someone and rip their face off, thus eliminating that foe.
Saturn would be very limber, because he has the reflexes of a cat, of course, and the speed of one, so he'd dodge most attacks thrown at him and fight back when an opportunity opened up.
Mars would probably just last only a few seconds. Let's face it, the red-head is sort of wimpy.
(woah, that was a longer post than I anticipated it to be.)
If the Grunts got involved, I'd say Jupiter would take them out fast.
If Cyrus got involved, Jupiter would probably manage to kill him, even when Cyrus didn't feel much of the pain, and when it was Saturn's turn to be taken down, he'd wear Jupiter out. Plus, if he like fell or something, his veluminous (or however you spell it) hairstyle would prevent any major head concussion.

Grunts: None at all, they're so wimpy.
 
Maylene was still a bit insecure about herself in the games. She didn't even know why she was chosen as a Gym Leader, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, I'm at a cafe right now, not home, so I'll edit this post when I come back from my trip. Um, if the commanders were to get into a fight, I think Jupiter would win. Mars, I picture her being very flexible. She has a great sense of balance (see: Pokemon Special), so she'd be able to dodge that way, but physically I see her as being pretty frail. One punch, she'd be reeling. If someone made her snap they'd be gone, though. She'd get slappy or scratchy or shrieky. Tantrums, of anger or dismay, seem to be a common theme for her.

Jupiter is not a wuss. I have no idea where you got that impression - it seems like you're making her out to be weak and stupid just because you don't like her. She's a manipulator, a string-puller, reels you in. Never gives you the full story. I'd imagine she'd be a block and dodger. Wear them down, then strike with force. Plus, she can always use her...feminine charm to put people off guard. Unlike Mars, she's full-figured enough to show herself off.

Saturn...is not a cat in mind or body, only in mind or hair. I see him being actually the most passive of the three commanders, given how...upbeat...he seems to be ("everything is for everyone," "you, my friend, are very tough," etc.). I don't know if that's the right word or how long he'd last, but if Jupiter's fists didn't find him her body might, so either way I think Jupiter would win. She's more brains then brawn.

As for the grunts, they are not all the same. Look at Saturn's male lackey pal. He lurked into the screen only to yell at Team Rocket. Badass, the guy actually pays attention sometime! But yeah, I agree, out of all the grunts we've seen so far (Saturn's female lackey pal seemed quite insecure), they wouldn't win in the end.

If Cyrus stepped into the fray his voice'd calm 'em all down, I think.

OK, first of all, I didn't call Jupiter a wimp, I said she'd act like one at first. I see her as being pretty easy going until something makes her tick. Then she is no longer a calm, cool, and collected person, but an active volcano ready to erupt. I don't HATE Jupiter. I used to, sort of, but I don't anymore. She's really kind of kool.
And Saturn being limber, is because of one of the dreams I had, like he was running really fast, and I was watching through a pair of binoculars (there was a whole story behind that) and his movements were so angelic and smooth that....I dunno. It had me spellbound.
I hope that cleared things up.
 
Sorry, I was in a bit of a bad mood when I wrote that. Basing your characterizations off your dreams makes sense - I do that a lot, and there isn't much to canonly go off of for the moment. But, yes, that clears things up. I can picture Jupiter being the anger-bubbling type as well.

So, what do you think about the Spear Key? It will probably involve the Spear Pillar, but I've found myself wondering how. It might react the same way as it did to the meteorites, but I'd also wondering if Saturn is going to haul that thing around for all of his future appearances. Probably not, I mean, I'd imagine he'd give it to Cyrus at some point.
 
Saturn said he would, so yeah. Maybe it'll help awaken Palkia and Dialga or something. I dunno. T.T
I see, bad moods are well....Bad moods. o_O
I just hope Team Galactic reappears in the anime soon, or mah head's gunna X-plode. Grrrr........
 
Neat! I've been kind of waiting for non-trio Team Rocket to return too. I thought they'd show up a bit more, I thought there'd be a few agents in Sinnoh or something, beside that random appearance of Cassidy and Butch. If TR and TG were to have a war or whatnot I don't know who'd win.
 
It may depend on if Cyrus can unlock the ultimate power in time. If it came down to a Pokemon battle between the leaders, Giovanni would win (being a Gym Leader and all, plus I have the feeling Persian is going to be borderline uber when it actually battles). But that wouldn't do squat if Cyrus had those powers he's after.
 
I say Cyrus would win because he has the advantage of speed and type in most of the situations, such as his Weavile is ice-type, and most of Giovanni's is either ground or rock, which tend to be slow. and weak to ice and water attacks. (Gyarados.) Giovanni would probably knock out his Crobat pretty easy, but when it came to like his Weavile, Gyarados, or even Honchkrow who could fight pretty well against Persian, Giovanni would have quite a bit of trouble on his hands. And I'm not just saying this because I prefer Team Galactic.
 
I think Team Rocket has more disposable members/grunts than Team Galactic seems to have. So there's a force advantage there. A battle between Giovanni and Cyrus would be amazing. Canon or non-canon.

I will! I can write a short story about a battle between Giovanni and Cyrus. I'll edit this post later once I've completed it. *runs off to write it.*

Those boys sure do have quite over-inflated egos.

As for being tall, I've not seen alot of D/P Manga scans, but have you noticed all of the evil team leaders are threatening, height-wise? (We can probably safely exclude Maxie) When Cyrus does show his face in the anime, I reckon he'd be pretty tall. But not say Lt. Surge tall, hopefully.
 
On the show, Maxie was at least of average adult height, and probably a bit taller.

Haha yes, Surge was a freakin' MOUNTAIN.

I wonder, what with them introducing so many villians in DP (well...J and Paul anyway, but with them and Galactic that's really more constant unrelated villians than any region has ever had. The only constant villians I can think of before them that weren't affiliated with a Team were Harley and the Magikarp Man. And yes, MM's a villian--he's a swindler), will any of them join up with the good guys to fight Galactic? Or moreover will the good guys join *them*?
 
Uh, guys, since when did this become the "Evil Pokémon People in General Club" ?
Anyway, I'm still working on that battle between Giovannia and Cyrus short-story.
 
Just out of curiosity, how many of you have read my Cherry Blossoms story?
And I had a dream about Saturn last night.....I'm not sure I need to go into details..... Let's just say it took place at nighttime, at HIS house....Ahem......
Hey, it's not my fault. I can't really control my dreams. :blush:
 
Uhm.... By now my memory is a bit foggy. But it was a big house. Very big. Like, four stories. It had a lot of rooms too, like five bathrooms and two bedrooms and seven guestrooms and like three offices. He even had two dining rooms. And a fridge/freezer the size of my room. o.o But other than that, i can't remember what it looked like, appearance wise.
