I've been talking about this with some friends of mine.

Team Rocket used to be the most hillarious characters of the show, until Best Wishes - where they became "cool". However, this doesn't mean they can't amuse adult fans of the show. They still and probably are the most popular characters.

Do Team Rocket deserve their full fledged movie? A life action movie or a "Pikachu Meowth the movie" esque movie with Team Rocket as the main characters?

Not a live action movie please. I wouldn't mind a movie, or a string of episodes for that matter, focusing on them; Satoshi's travels would be on the backburner for a while.

I guess it's been a while since the TRio had some episodes dedicated to them. An explanation on how they became so serious and skilled all of a sudden could definitely work.

If the movie involves Jessie and James retiring from Team Rocket with Meowth and later getting married with lots of hilarious antics like running away from cops, then yes they should have a short movie dedicated to them.

Live action movie? Fuck no.

Animated movie? Eh... I'll get back to you after I hear the first few episodes of the radio show. I'm not sure what kind of plot would big enough for a movie that's only just those three and not the organization as a whole. Depending how much of a plot the radio show has would change my mind.

An explanation on how they became so serious and skilled all of a sudden could definitely work.

Megumi Hayashibara teased that that might be revealed in their radio show.

Omg, I'd love that to happen! But no live-action, plz :/ I'm not sure about what the plot of the movie should be, but I'd like it to be heavily action and drama packed ;D

Years ago, I also wanted a movie dedicated to them which would put in order their past for once and all. That was when I believed that Musashi and Kojiro knew each other as kids though. Now I don't care so much about it, since they retconned their past in the Hoso.

That's gonna be explained in the Rocket Radio Show the most probably :)

Ninja'd :p

If the TRio really get a movie, I will enjoy it as long as they quit TR already.
I don't even mind a cooking programme which Kojiro, Mushashi and Meowth teach us how to cook Ramen :p

Just as so long as it goes better than their other movie appearances (where, ya know, they don't do crap)

I highly doubt it would really be that profitable, so there wouldn't be a reason to make it.

I am not exactly sure what this thread is asking. Are you saying a movie where J/J/M are the protagonists and there is no Ash and co.?

What would they be doing exactly? What kind of conflict would the movie have?

A movie with Team Rocket in the principal roles... If only *dream* A series of special episodes outside the "Pokémon" serie would be very well also.

Maybe but here's the problem WHAT THE HELL WOULD IT BE ABOUT? Serious I got nothing steal something? Team Rocket versus other gang? Quiting team rocket to start new life? I don't see any of these taking a hour and half without difficulty.

Movie for those guys?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Didn't Chromnicles count as a movie?? Oh God, no just no....

I'd love a Lupin III-esque movie starring the (in-character) trio. It doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of happening, but it would be cool regardless.

That actually sounds better than most of the actual Pokemon movies we have!

That does sound cool! What I really loved about some Team Rocket episodes were the backstories, I loved Ignorance is Blissey and Holy Matrimony. So maybe like a whole thing on how they met and became the trio we know and love. Now looking back on some episodes, have there ever been an episode on how Meowth met the two? I also liked Jessie as a coordinator, heh she was hilarious. But live-action would probably throw people off...

I admire Team Rocket. I would love to see a movie focusing on Jessie and James and maybe even returning members that never got much backstory (In example, the classic Butch and Cassidy, Domino, Oakley, Annie, etc.) Though it should take place during Best Wishes because I absolutely adore the more anime-stylish design and would love to see the new design of those members. I also prefer Team Rocket now because they are actually criminals now. :D Cilan should also become a member of Team Rocket.:)
