The year is 1352 in the nation of Jishin, a wasteland of desert in which are a scattering of cities. From all around the world Magicians come to the Three Pyramids. The first Pyramid, the Laborama Pyramid, is where the magicians work and meet. It is the largest pyramid. The second pyramid is the Dormishan Pyramid, where the magicians live, sleep, and conduct leisure activity. The last pyramid, the Legatan Pyramid, is where the Three Pyramids Academy is placed. Here the magicians learn magic and prepare for life in the other two pyramids. The Magicians study many arts:

The Castes:
Once the students go into the pyramid, they will choose which caste they want to go into:
Warriors: Who dress in red robes. They fight for the state or as mercenaries.
Healers: Who dress in green robes. They go around healing people and finding new cures to diseases.
Crafters: Who dress in brown robes. They perform ordinary jobs where magic might be useful, such as building or farming.
Alchemists: Who dress in blue robes. They are the magical scientists, making discoveries.
Diplomats: Who dress in yellow robes. They act as advisors to kings and emperors, politicians and ambassadors.
Necromancers: Who dress in black. They are by far the smallest caste and it contains the necromancers.
The Aniati: Who dress in white: They are the caretakers of the Pyramids. They make many of the decisions of the Pyramids and are most often the Leader of the Pyramids, The High Seat.

Ranks:
In the Pyramids there is a delicate hierarcy.
At the top is the High Seat, who is the supreme ruler of the Pyramids. The position is for life. He is assisted by the Parliament.
The Seven Heads of each Caste sit on the Parliament. They are the Stratedux of the Warriors, The Medicissime of the Healers, The Laboranti of the Alchemists, the Faberin of the Crafstmen, the Legaster of the Diplomats, the Mortuan of the Necromancers and the Anius of the Aniati. This seat is voted for every ten years.
Within the Castes there are many individual ranks, but each Caste has a Deputy, in case of the death or absence of the Head.
In the Academy there is the Magister Optimus, who is the Head of the Academy. There can be any number of Magistri (singular Magister), and seven Didaskaloi (Singular Didaskalos), who are the heads of the teaching of each caste, and control aplications into the Castes at the end of the students' final year.
The Students have their own Ranks as well.
In each year there are twelve Academic Scholars, six Music Scholars and six Sports Scholars. A student can hold more than one of these positions.
In the final year there are twelve Praefecti, four Praefecti Maior and one Praefecti Maximus.
