Grass, Fire or Water?

When I was younger used to always go for fire types, when I had OCD grass types, but now I think water types are the best just in game.
 
I have always preffered Fire, but lately I have warmed up to water type. I use it in any hoenn adventure I go on solely due to the fact It is effective more than any other type when it comes to gym types.
 
My favourite is Water. It's so varied as it has lots of different typings and Pokemon to choose from.
 
Water type is the best of the three. My starters have always been Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup and Oshawott. My favorite type overall is Psychic, though.
 
Grass types. Although, they are not over-hyped, they still perform well. They are also fairly versatile. Although, I didn't like Serperior.(he is still functional ingame)
 
I'm going to assume you mean the starters, but yeah, the water starters have always been my favorite. They're designs appeal to me and water has always been my favorite element in general. Ironically, my favorite final forms are usually the fire types and I've even started with them in a few games(Cyndaquill in Crystal, Torchic in Sapphire, and Chimchar in Pearl before giving the latter away to my little cousin).
 
Huh. Interesting poll results. I expected Fire to be winning by a super majority, but instead that honor belongs to Water. I also expected Grass to lag behind, but it's actually Fire that's in last place. That's surprising to say the least.
 
Grass-types because they learn more status inflicting moves, and ones that can snatch health from opponents.
 
Fire, without a doubt. It's a tradition for me, to always go with Fire. oAo
 
A really tough call between Water and Grass; I like the Water type starters best but overall I think there would be more Grass types in my top 20 list. So Grass then.
 
I usually favor the fire type, but I go for the others on occasion. Black version is where I almost never use fire, because the fire/fighting typing is getting old and I love using Serperior's Coil+Leaf Blade.
My favorites for each gen are: Charizard, Typhlosion, Swampert (I solo'd my Emerald with one, lol), I like all 4th gens, and Serperior.
 
Grass. I always take the Grass-type on the first playthrough of the first version of a new main series game. I occasionally take the Fire-type on the opposing version, but never take the Water-type. Though Black and White marked the first breaking of this tradition, because Oshawott is brilliance given shape.
