I just saw this thread today. I can't imagine anyone actually using it for the lottery, and I think there's about as much chance of getting mauled by a grizzly bear and a polar bear on the same day as there is of finding the OT of a GTS Pokemon here. Was it really necessary to make this thread than? At the very least, I think pinning it before it even has a full page's worth of posts was a bit premature. =/
 
Well, it was created by a moderator who obviously thought it was a good idea. I personally don't see any issues with it.
 
And it is not for GTS trades only. It is for the daily lottery as well (you can save, check the number, restart, see if someone has that ID and then trade with him/her if that's the case.
