Otherwise known as the thread where Hitchi posts her attemps at art!

This "series" is some pics I made for people who really like a certain type. It's far from finished, and near the bottom of my priority list. Each picture consists of a trainer, a Pokémon, and a saying to support that type. The trainers are supposed to look cool and tough. The sayings might be the kind of thing a gym leader, of course depending who, would say. I was also going for the thing where owners look like their dogs or whaever, as a side attribute. I did them a while ago and they're not very good, but oh well. I kinda specialize in rich colour, which isn't displayed very well by a scan. :-(

Fire- The first one I did and obviously the worst. It's my least favourite partnership, but I like the lettering.

Water- My second one. The letters were supposed to look like they had bubbles in them but it...didn't work. >.< The trainer looks horrible, although it's totally inaccurate I like the hand holding the Pokéball. ^_^

Psychic- By far my best and favourite. It's most accurate proportionally (which still isn't very) and just better than the rest.

I know I have to work on these things:
-Shading (at least on the people)
-proportions
-original poses (at least on the mons, because the humans are original)
-backgrounds
-use of space(?)
-overall size
-colouring

*reviews list* Oh my. I don't think the artist gig is working out. >.<

Aww, fear not, Hitchi! All things are better with practice.

I like the idea a lot. I'm big on anything that emphasizes types and elements. I see how the water trainer looks like her Azumarill.. I think it's her ponytail.

If you're really strapped for ideas on poses and such, look through magazines or comics or websites and sketch poses from there. That works for me... when it's not obvious I ripped off someone. >.> ^^;;

Perhaps also you could make the drawing bigger and the lettering smaller.. those longer phrases tend to overwhelm the whole page.

Good luck working on them, whenever it makes your priority list. ^_~ I'm looking forward to the ice picture.
