Years ago, Chad (a Charmander) and Touchy (a Torchic) were the best of friends. One day as they went to their school, Chad noticed something different. Their school was burned, and when they checked inside, all Pokemon were dead. They didn't notice the Pokepolice head into the room. Because they
were fire types, The police quickly knew that they burned their own school.

They ran, but because Chad was slower than Touchy, he got caught while Touchy escaped.
Chad was separated with Touchy.
