The Voyage of the Lost Pokewalker

Being a game journalist isn’t as interesting as one might think. You get used to reporting things that you hear through the internet, there’s this layer of emotional distance between you and the stories. It’s rare to pick up interesting gaming stories in my own life, so when I heard one when out drinking last night, I had to repeat it.

Read more on Bulbanews

Well reading that was a waste of my time.

I enjoyed that. As a Pokémon newspaper Bulbanews can and should incorporate stories from members of the wider community.

I enjoyed the review/analysis on HGSS and if it helped the series.

This was a bit...disapointing.

I enjoyed the story, it was interesting, it got me thinking: "Will he get his Pokewalker back?". Good reading.

... That was AWESOME.
And I think it's nice that there's a little focus to the individual stories of the players in general.

But now, making an announcement through the entire system, bother to retrieve it, and send it back to the owner? Either someone wanted to play hero, or that's quite an amazing service.

Quoted for truth. That's why it's "Bulbanews, your community Pokémon newspaper."

I am very paranoid about keeping track of my Pokéwalker. If I ever did lose it, I would hope I would be lucky enough to have such awesome people help out. Pearte, is one lucky little Hoothoot.

You know, if you lose the Pokewalker, the Pokemon inside isn't lost forever. It's still stored on the game cart and you can retrieve it.

Heh, thats an interesting story, different from most news I've seen on BulbaNews. I'd probably go into hunter mode if I lost my Pokewalker.

I'm with Iteru on this. While yeah, it'd be nice if Bulbanews had some more Human Interest-like stories every now and then, this was a completely pointless tale that only deserved a passing mention over drinks, not a news post on one of the biggest Pokemon news sites on the internet.

I disagree, I thought the story was funny and I enjoyed reading it. It was just a fun little story that made me laugh.

Whenever I wear my pokewalker, I check to see if it is there about 1000 times, I would really hate to lose it. Glad he found it.

I thought it was funny too. And I'm always checking to see if my pokewalker is still there.
Once I took it off and forgot I did. When I checked to see if it was still there I freaked out. I keep my eevee in there!

This story was different from the others and thus I liked it!

ha ha, this was a cool read. even though i keep my PokeWalker inside my pocket at most times, i still make sure i dont take it out unless im not moving or something.

i like the idea of more opinions/editorials/etc on BN as it gives the community something to read in-between genuine news. as some people may note, important Pokemon news doesnt come out every day, so at the very least, lets keep the readers entertained.

you dont want to read it? then dont read it. the top of the page clearly said it was an editorial, and any future one will too. i mean hell, the name of the article alone could have told you this wasnt 'news' in a literal sense.

I use the alternative back for it and I keep it on my pants so it doesn't fall though I've been having exams lately and thus I've kept it in my bag, but now since the exams are over I will keep it in my pocket.

If I went by that logic then I never would have read YeOldeJacob's editorial which was an enjoyable read and made me think about the series as a whole.
It seemed more purposeful than this editorial was.
