(I thought this fit here because it's mostly related to Sun and Moon, but I realized this kind of thing is also pretty user-focused? Sorry if I picked the wrong forum)

Anyways, this thread is for giving your thoughts on what might have happened had events in the game gone a little differently. For example, what if Lillie had left Lusamine in Ultra Space? How might her personality be changed afterwards? What might happen to Lusamine?

My "What If?"s go off the idea that Lusamine had seen Nihilego at some point before. (shaping the appearance of the Aether Foundation and how Lusamine made Lillie dress)

What if?-Lusamine had become obsessed with Kartana instead of Nihelgo?
The tiny, origami-esque Pokemon spurs a fascination with small details in Lusamine. Lusamine vigorously studies small handicraft-sewing, origami, calligraphy, various arts, and even surgery. She constantly tries to recreate the Pokemon she saw in hopes that it might open the Ultra Wormhole again, but continually grows frustrated with her failed attempts.

In this timeline, Lusamine is more involved in the Aether Foundation's field work, often operating on injured Pokemon. She also provides a lot of the decor for the Paradise-some rather eerie origami creations stare at visitors, and instead of the frozen Pokemon in her hidden room, she has taxidermy of various species, all with a horrible grin sewn in.

Lillie has gotten quite a hand for sewing, and whenever Nebbie gets out of the bag, she tries to add something to it that might keep it in better. Eventually, it looks more like a wild quilt than its original design. Lillie actually prefers it this way, though-each patch has a little memory attached.
(I have a hard time working Gladion into this... The most I can think of is that his steady hand makes him Team Skull's prime lockpick)

What if?-Lusamine had become obsessed with Buzzwole instead of Nihelgo?
(I thought this up as a joke at first but it actually kinda works)

In this timeline, Lusamine is obsessed with getting a strong, built body to match Buzzwole's, thinking that the Ultra Wormholes are opened with pure strength. While TVs still have loads of Malasada commercials, they alternate between those and Lusamine's "work off those Malasadas!" infomercials.

Lusamine's obsession with strength extends to the Aether Foundation as well. Their purpose remains the same, but their standard of what state Pokemon should be in is changed-they think they need to be a lot stronger and able to easily win fights when they're released. This causes some problems to the ecosystem-for example, Corsola fight off Mareanie and Toxapex easily, but this causes more Corsola in the area, with more coral branches, thus consuming more food than can be provided.

Gladion's massive physique makes Team Skull use him more, but not respect him-he's considered the "dumb muscle" by other members. Lillie is similarly buff, and Nebby never even dares to try to leave the bag-It knows she can force it back it. Lillie is called weak by her mother, similar to how her mother calls her unworthy in the canon timeline, but rather than try to be stronger and prove her wrong, it actually causes more of her shyness-she's worried that actually living up to her full potential might be something scary.

What if your character could tell them their dad isn't lost he just abandoned them for poke pelago.....

And will Lillie figure that out now that she's a trainer and unlocks pelago herself?
