A shame that it had to be announced within hours of the new games. 8(

I look forward to hearing how absolutely inappropriate the song title is.

Yay, new song. Cool.

Now, about these new games I heard about...

I mean, knowing song details is fine, but it really is kinda sub par compared with the next generation.

Jazz duo?

Good thing Jazz happens to be my favorite music.

Nicely done Umeko!

I don't think "Ice Cream Syndrome" is all of an inappropriate title, it is just not the greatest title that they could have chosen.

The only real song that I have listened to is the one at the end of Movie 11 by Crystal Kay.

Does anyone know what the theme song for Movie 12 was?

And all. That. Jaaaaaaaaz.

I would like to actually hear the song.

Movie 12's theme was "Kokoro no Antenna" by Nakagawa Shoko. :3

By "inappropriate," btw, I don't mean obscene or anything; just inappropriate for the theme/style/mood/etc. of what I assume the song will be.

Golden Time Lover is my favorite song ever, so I'm very excited that this group is doing Ice Cream Syndrome. :-D

What's so inappropriate about the name? It sounds goofy compared to the apparent sound of the song. Jazz? They've never had that before. Sounds nice. There should be more jazz on TV.

The 5th movie Japanese ending was kinda jazzy...

Yes, I remember that one now. They played it a lot on Pokemon Sunday when Arceus: To a Conquering Spacetime was about to be released.

That's what I thought you meant when you said inappropriate.

I saw the ending to that and if you compare the Japanese ending scenes to the English Movie 5 ending scenes there is a drastic difference. That song at the end of the Japanese movie was You're Not Alone by Coba and Kazufumi Miyazawa.

Apparently the song's described as a love song.

And is named "Ice Cream Syndrome".

Wut?

As for the song title I read that Kunihiko Yuyama requested a "Refreshing Song" which I guess one could consider Ice Cream refreshing in a way.

I'm not sure if you're actually asking what's inappropriate, or if you're explaining why it seems inappropriate.

In case you are asking, please look up the definition of inappropriate and refer to this:

I think "inappropriate" by means of the beat will not fit the plot of the movie.

Honestly, I sat there, just plain flabbergasted. How is ice cream going to fit this epic plot? (I told my brother, and he laughed so hard)

But then again, Arceus got trolled with some random, uppity song that involves sailing in the meadow (o_O) while in the movie, it was being betrayed by Damos.

Regarding defining "inappropriate," I believe you were looking back at the AG film songs (minus movie 7) and how serious they were in tune and lyrics. I can totally understand that. I'm in league with you! *salutes*

Can't wait to hear the song preview in the next trailer!

More like inappropriate in that the song - described as a medium-tempo love song, with mournful lyrics - won't really fit with the song title. Heck, when I first saw the song title, I instantly thought of this song. XD I have a hunch, having heard some of Sukima Switch's other stuff, that the song's mood will fit with the movie, but maybe not with the song title itself.

And actually I don't think the song for movie 12 was all that unfitting - the Hosono mix that was used for the credits, at least (which was softer and more gentle than the regular version). Sure the lyrics didn't fit with the movie, but the end of the movie had a nice, gently optimistic feel to it, and I think the Hosono mix was a good fit.

Now, movie 7, on the other hand......

They did the third opening for "FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood", very well, I think, so this makes me feel somewhat secure that someone I know and thinks sings well is doing this. "Golden Time Lover" was a bit drug out in the full version, but the TV size is pretty darn good. I suggest anyone who wants to hear a preview of what the song may sound like in regards to those who are singing it to watch the opening that was just mentioned.

The songs for these movies have fluctuated b/w good and bad in my opinion. Hopefully this song is good.
