I have a new Sandstorm team because I am trying to get back into the whole OU competitive metagame. I constructed this team with some help from 1337R34P3R and I has 19 victories out of 9 losses so far. This team could use help because lets face it, I'm not the best team builder around. Also I did my team layout in a different way because it's easier for me so don't judge ._.

Lead/Physical Wall
poke450_3.png

EVs:
-HP:252
-DEF:168
-SPDEF:88
Item:
-Leftovers
Nature:
-Impish
Ability:
-Sand Stream
Attacks:
-Earthquake
It's there for STAB and to dent anything that's a lead and doesn't levitate.
-Ice Fang
A good move to take out Grass, Dragon and Flying types. Although without any ATK EVs it's not quite the greatest offensive attack.
-Slack Off
It's there so he can regain health obviously.
-Stealth Rock
...I don't really have to explain this do I?

Threats:
-Celebi: Even though I have Ice Fang, it barely does 1/4 damage to Celebi.
-Water Types: For obvious reasons.
-Latias: Ice Fang is great, but Latias is bulky and some carry Surf, which Hippo cannot take down.
-Rotom Washer: It carries Hydro Pump and I cannot take it down with Ice Fang since he Levitates.
-Shaymin: Seed Flare, Grass Knot, etc are a big problem and Shaymins are somewhat bulky, but a unSTABed no ATK EV'd Ice Fang barely does anything and a STAB NVE EQ does barely the same amount as Ice Fang.
-Skarmory:
I bet you're thinking "wtf?" Well it's true, Ice Fang doesn't do over irrc 20% and EQ can't hit it unless I perfectly predict when it's going to Roost. Skarms can't hit me back and KO me but they sure as hell can PP stall me -_-

Physical Sweeper
poke472_2.png

EVs:
-ATK:252
-DEF:4
-SPE:252
Item:
-Life Orb
Nature:
-Jolly
Ability:
-Hyper Cutter(Because Gyarados and Salamence are big threats without it)
Attacks:
-EQ
For STAB.
-Fire Fang
To take care of Steel Types like Bronzong that levitates or Skarmory or an Ice and Grass Type.
-Stone Edge
It's for Gyarados, Salamence, a Ice Type or a flying type.
-Swords Dance
If I get one SD off I can sweep decently until Life Orb recoil takes me down or I get OHKOd by something faster.

Threats:
-Water Types
Obvious
-Rotom Washer
It carries Hydro Pump and Stone Edge has a low accuracy ._.
-Salamence, Latias, Dragonite, Kingdra &Flygon
If Stone Edge misses they can all sweep. Mence's can carry Hydro Pump, Latias can have Surf, Dragonite can have Ice Punch and Aqua Tail, Kingdra with Surf or Waterfall and Flygon just resists my whole set. I can carry Ice Fang here but then things like Weavile and Abamasnow can run wild unless Stone Edge doesn't miss...it's a real gamble

Special Sweeper
Spr_4h_121.png

EVs:
-HP: 4
-SPE: 252
-SPATK: 252
Item:
-Choice Specs
Nature:
-Timid: Adds more to Speed since 448 SPATK will hit anything pretty damn hard.
Ability:
-Natural Cure
Attacks:
-Psychic
For STAB and getting rid of things like Gengar, Breloom, Rotom, etc
-Ice Beam:
To take care of grass, flying, ground, and dragon types.
-Thunderbolt:
To take down opposing water types that wall my team.
-Surf:
STAB damage, also takes care of Rock and Ground types since Fire types aren't really a threat to a Sandstorm team.

Threats:
-Faster Rotoms: Now I can deal with a Wall type Rotom but a Choice Scarf one I have trouble with.
-Faster Gengars: See above.
-Weavile: Big threat and with Pursuit or Night Slash being a personal preference to trainers you really don't know what to do sometimes.
-Suicune: If it gets too many Calm Minds up, I'm screwed.

Special Wall: yup you heard me. I figured I have a Physical wall and don't have a special one, plus I never seen anyone with a Special Wall Skarm.
Spr_4h_227.png

EVs:
-HP: 252
-DEF: 4
-SPDEF: 252
Item:
-Leftovers
Nature:
-Impish
Ability:
-Keen Eye
Attacks:
-Brave Bird
STAB damage to anything, and there if I get Taunted.
-Spikes:
More entry hazards are good.
-Roost:
For recovering if it takes a big amount of damage.
-Whirlwind:
To phaze, scout and give entry damage to Pokemon.

Threats:
-Anything fire typed
-Jolteon
One of the fastest sweepers in the game and his SPATK is pretty lethal.
-Gyarados:
Unless I can Whirlwind it away, Skarm get's a 2HKO since it's a SPWall.
-Suicune/Vaporeon/Swampert/Starmie:
It can live a unSTABd Ice Beam and T-Bolt but without it being able to do a lot of damage back or stall, it gets ruined.

Special Sweeper #2
Spr_4h_245.png

EVs:
-HP:228
-SPE: 216
-SPATK: 64
Item:
-Leftovers
Nature:
-Timid
Attacks:
-Calm Mind
Boosts SPATK and SPDEF, helps pull off a sweep.
-Substitute:
Helps against things that are slower and like to get off a status damage.
-Ice Beam:
Good for Dragons and other threats.
-Surf:
STAB and can wreak havoc if enough CM's are used.

Threats:
-Suicune:
Yes other Suicune can be a threat. Especially if Starmie is down and the other one gets more CM's up.
-Electric types:
Now Zapdos aren't much of an issue but things like Rotom and some Evires are.

Physical Sweeper #2
Spr_4h_248.png

EVs:
-HP:6
-ATK: 252
-SPE: 252
Nature:
-Jolly
Item:
-Life Orb
Attacks:
-Aqua Tail
It was a long and hard debate over Aqua Tail, EQ or Fire Punch. I went with AT to try it honestly, but it's also to take down opposing T-Tars, Heatrans and anything else weak to water.
-Crunch
STABd and helps me take down Celebi, Starmie, etc
-Dragon Dance
Without it this TTar is useless
-Stone Edge
STAB damage and helps take down Zapdos, Weavile, Gyarados etc

Threats:
-Jirachi
Because I don't have Fire Punch or EQ, Jirachi with Iron Head will 2HKO.
-Scizor
No Fire Punch, and BP is priority
-Heatran
Even though Aqua Tail is to take it down, a lot of Trans are Scarfed
-Gyarados
It comes down to "who has more DD's?"
-Machamp
If I'm not faster or have +3 DD's up, I'm screwed

Well that's my SS team. It's not the best and that's why it has a 19-10 streak on Shoddy. I think it's just my bad judgment, team making, and predictions that hurt this team. Anyways if you can help thanks.

Hi Insomniac, nice team. I would like to point out a few things though.

Your Gliscor has 252 Att/ 252 Def/ 252 Speed. I am going to assume that it has no Defense EV's and looks fairly offensive.

On Starmie, get rid of Psychic for trick. Ice Beam still hits breloom, surf is doing enough to Gengar in the first place. Trick lets you beat Blissey (SkarmBliss Combination walls the majority of your team and you are weak to stall, like most sandstorm teams. I personally run Hydro Pump to get some important KO'es against Scizor but if you are a bit iffy on the accuracy thats fine.

Do you really need Hyper Cutter on Gliscor? At +1 Stone Edge should be KOing, not sure though.

And Finally, I want to recommend this spread on Tyranitar

Tyranitar @ Expert Belt
Hasty (116 Atk / 144 SpA / 248 Spe)
Ability: Sand Stream
~Dragon Dance
~Crunch
~Ice Beam
~Fire Blast

EV'd to outun Latias after a DD and Standard Rotom (before a DD) (88 speed) I used this Tyranitar on my team that I posted on smogon just latley and it is a beast. Fire Blast KOes 252/ min Skarmory after Stealth Rock and Ice Beam will always KO Hippowdon and Gliscor after Stealth Rock.

Good luck with the team

Damn I had no clue I put 252 three times on Gliscor..damn I'm stupid, anyways it was supposed to be 4 for DEF.
Also thanks for Gliscor, Starmie and Ttar advice I will try that and post feedback.

Thank you!

Then dragon dance doesn't have a lot's of use anymore does it?

Anyway, your Starmie might also be killed by a leaf storm sceptile (although rarely seen), which'll most likely outspeed starmie.

Outspeeding Latias after a DD is a good enough use for it.

Actually the set he gave me works better then the smogon set I had.

Yes Sceptile is faster then my Starmie but I can switch to Skarm or Gliscor.

Yup.

Also, DD tricks your opponent as to what set you are using, which could come in handy.

get somethin more fo rotom appliances. lso if im right heard sstorm boosts rok types sp.defense and you my want touse that or walling as thy lready have generally great defense. or is it a myth

Rotom-A aren't used in wifi. Anyways, this team seems a bit strange to me atm. You lead with Hippowdon, yet carry Ttar which is quite redundant. You also have Gliscor who is very similar to Hippowdon as well. Next your using Skarm who is generally on more defensive teams and a CM Suicune and specs starmie who should be played on bulky offense or just offense. So before I rate, I need to know what style your aiming for. If you just have a random group of poke, you won't do well at all. Typing is also very key. Currently, your carrying limited or no resists to key attacking types, such as Dragon as Skarmory is your only resist, meaning CM HP Fire Latias, DD/Mix Mence, and others will have an easy time tearing your teams defensive core. You'll need to put more thought into your team than just: Wall/Sweeper with decent resists.
