As everyone knows, Arceus is the God Pokemon. No objections there. And while the Omega Pokemon does indeed have the power to destroy at a moments notice, it has been stressed both in the anime and in the games that Arceus is more inclined to be the creator, rather than the destroyer.

And as everyone continues to speculate about the fifth generation, there's a question that's been going around since the discovery of Arceus...How the hell are they going to beat the God of all Pokemon? What could you possibly do after that?

I offer the possiblity that, while we have a 'Creator' pokemon (not strictly a creator, but a creator nonetheless) logic dictates that the fifth generation will more than likely offer the Pokemon world a 'Destroyer' (not strictly Destroyer, but you catch my drift)

What will it look like? How should I know...The only thing I am sure of however, is that with the balanced obssesed theme of the Pokemon games, there is a very strong chance that there will be an opposing force that balances out this God. It may have something to do with the mysterious Lock Capsule...Who know's, it might even be the ultimate evil pokemon?...

i actually have made a pokemon that's like the concept you're talking about but it pretty much just guides the departed spirits of pokemon and humans to the other side. if it can't do it's job all hell would break loose. it's got a forme change from cloak forme into reaper forme. in cloak forme it's a ??? type since it's immune to all attacks but in reaper forme it's a Dark/Ghost type.
i made it since the opposite of life(Arceus) is death and every generation we keep getting that one pokemon that is super powerful and the next tops the previous.
 
But they could make something as powerful as Arceus is. This one may be Arceus' antithesis.

Dusknoir is described as the bringer of people to the 'other side'. Do your research.

Plus, "immune to all attacks", talk about overpowered.

I thought Rayquaza could have beat Mewtwo and would or even Deoxys if you're thinking Psychic vs. Psychic.
 
Mewtwo was equaled by Lugia, Ho-oh, Rayquaza and Dragon Trio in terms of Base Stat Total.

Theyt don't need to top Arceus just give it an equal.
 
While I'm fine with Arceus being Arceus with no equal, I can see how it can work as a yin-yang thing with a new ultimate legend in BW. Or perhaps, another forme of Arceus? (since Pokemon is so obssessed with formes) Perhaps, the ??? plate?

So yes, destroyer. In reality, anyway, the universe will implode in trillions of years and the whole creation process will begin again.

My idea made up just now:
Arceus is corrupted by some inexplicable force in the universe, (perhaps explained in the game) and it becomes the ??? forme Arceus. Who is truly villainous, and self serving, wants to spread darkness all over the universe. It corrupts a human organisation that will help to facilitate its arrival and its influence over Earth - maybe Earth is the last place in the galaxy that is not captured? So they would treat Arceus like their God, as some kind of cult, until maybe one of them is freed from their brainwashing. Also instead of the teams abandoning or turning good they are sacrificed, by the leader maybe.

So the protagonist's quest in BW would be to stop/subdue/capture this legend before it prematurely destroys the universe. The TRUE villain is ??? Arceus. As opposed to an evil team.

simple enough premise for the kid players, yet slightly more darker than the previous games.

very half-baked but hmm. I want this game to be dark.
 
I don't want to see them try to top Arceus. Or match him. For ten years or so we didn't have anyone top Mewtwo and Mew. Mewtwo was one of the most powerful pokemon ever, and Mew was the ancestor of every species.
 
If he's the creator, he could show us some of his new work (or un-released before) :p

I hate Arceus and its fucking huge stat total anyway. I don't want another one that equals it.

Besides, I despise legendaries save for the little legendaries. I don't even bother to catch any of them nowadays. Too powerful and everyone likes them. Boring. I only sort of like the little legends. Especially Shaymin and Jirachi.

So no.
 
I say move it, and possibly shaymin, to the end of the pokedex and consider them the national dex events while introducing a couple new isshu dex event legendaries.

thats how i saw it this gen.

Manaphy was the sinnoh dex event, and the other three were national dex events.

Darkrai was pretty Sinnoh, considering the Cresselia connection.

There not going to rearrange the national dex.

And I say yes to the Arceus equivalent, but it's plans to destroy the universe must fail. Maybe it could be given 255 bst in every stat, but have an extremely crippling ability.
