They're not going to release the Azure Flute are they?

I mean, we're on black and white, there'd be no reason to promote Gen IV....

Why'd they never release it?
 
Considering it's the fifth gen, I don't see it happening. Maybe they wanted Arceus to remain as rare as possible, similar to Mew.
 
Well, it's the D/P/Pl age anymore, and Nintendo has already moved on.

Shame.
 
Makes me think the Lock Capsule might not get a release too.
 
This sucks. I refuse to hack on principle, but they're getting to the point where its almost impossible to get these things legit.

Most of the Arceus on GTS are likely hacks, and you have to be in Japan to get it legit. What's the point in not releasing these items, it doesn't cost them any money to transmit this stuff.
 
I doubt there will be an Azure Flute event, but I'm not ruling out a Lock Capsule event yet. We're past the games that you can obtain the Lock Capsule on, but we're still in the generation of games that can actually use it.
 
Sorry to say I don't think it'll happen. :( Real shame to, because how many people actually have a legit Arceus? GF makes it really hard to get all of these mons nowadays.

Gen 5's still new however and we might see a new event for Arceus in it. Gens 3 and 4 both had legendaries from the previous gens, so i'm sure that this gen will as well. Just a matter of when the events will take place. After the Hoenn remakes or after Grey versions released.

Since its been brought up, did we ever figure out what the Lock Capsule was for?
 
Well, the Mystic Ticket (FRLGE) and Old Sea Map never had official distributions in Europe, so unfortunately, not getting the Azure Flute isn't that surprising. However, considering Secret Key, Member's Card and Oak's Letter got Platinum Wi-Fi distributions, it is easy to see why people would have expected the Azure Flute. Then there was the Lock Capsule that was never distributed.

I'm wondering if that is part of the reason why, out of the 4 Mythical Pokémon in Black and White, GameFreak only gave one of them an item distribution (Victini and the Liberty Pass); because rather than leave event items without use, they can distribute the Pokémon in their own time (For example, by the time Shaymin was revealed, we were awaiting Pokémon Platinum Version and it had a new forme available via the fateful encounter tag, making a DP Oak's Letter distribution pointless). However, with Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect, their events are activated by just having them, so you can easily just trade them back to an older game.

What annoys me is the plates for Arceus are made available in Black and White at Undella Bay and there is an Arceus event in HG SS.

So why have they not made Arceus available in UK and US without hacking? It's like they are rubbing it in by giving you the butter, but not the bread! :mad:

Maybe they included the plates to keep the possibility of an event open.

Yeh I see what you mean about leaving the event open, but I am just too inpatient to wait for such an event (if one does come).

The US got the Movie Arceus. Most of Europe got the Movie Arceus. Probably the UK, too. And Australia. And South Korea. And the rest of the world. It's not like it was only ever released in Japan.

And no, we won't get the Azure Flute. They decided not to let us simply catch Arceus, and that's a good thing. It also makes it easier to see which Arceus are hacks, so that's another good thing. :B
...And no, they're not "phasing out" event items - just take a look at the Liberty Pass!

Good point. The Liberty Pass was just a few months back so clearly GF is still interested in events. And i think that the only time Arceus has been available in the US is through the movie.
