One time last year our school had a contest where it was like a math bingo called math-o. And there were three prizes, first two games were ice cream passes and third prize was an iPod shuffle.

Needless to say, I'm the last person anyone expected to win the shuffle.

And I won.
 
hmm.... well I didn't expect to win a iPod Touch in a random drawing at my school


I was like, what are the odds of me winning?
and bOOM, I won o_O lol
 
-I passed Math
-I lost 10 pounds
- I cooked cake without burning down the house
- I had a dog for 9 years
- I got straight A's for the last semester
- I got into Pokemon
 
Pretty much everything I do now is something that I would not have expected a few years ago. I didn't even know what kendo was before the beginning of last summer, so I definitely didn't expect to be doing that. I didn't expect to get back in to pokemon. I kind of expected to go to Penn State, but I didn't expect 99% of the shit that has happened since I've been at college.
 
As freshman at my second forensics tournament competing in an event I was not very good at yet, and I won first place. They call it skill. I called it luck and bribed judges.
 
The first entry reminds me of something similar! When I was in 3rd grade, there was a giant jar of gummy bugs on display. Whoever guessed correctly how many were in there got the jar. I don't remember how many I said, but I put in my answer and forgot about it.

A month later in the assembly, I got the gummy jar! <3 Freaking awesome. I guess I'm just lucky.

You just reminded me of Easter in 06. The fire hall did a guestimate on a jar of jelly beans. I guessed 300. There were 298 in it.

I won the jelly beans and a giant plush duck. To this day I have the duck and no idea what to do with it.

The opposite happened to my dad and he didn't expect this. He had a competition to get rid of a 3 lb. sausage (long story) and advertised it as such. The sign literally said, "Guess the weight of the 3 lb. sausage." No one got it right.

Kinda fits the topic.
 
when i was in first or second grade i won $100 in some school fundraiser contest. everyone qualified to enter got a stuffed turtle, and the kid next to me even felt my turtle before we opened them and complained that i had gotten the money :U

also, fracturing my skull in a crash.

Back when I was sixteen I was dating a Bible loving girl and my friends used to tease me because they thought I was not going to 'get' sex.... needless to say they were wrong. ;-)

She ended up being one of the most ummm 'adventurous' women I have ever met...

I know! Like, I didn't think it would hurt so much and they even passed through my heart and entered both my lungs. I never have any luck on my side. ; -; Always in the hospital. D:

Tell me about it. Now I have to take medicine and get blood work every 2 weeks for the rest of my life. Ux
 
Right after school, I went home, but I saw some shiny silvery thing on the the street. I was was so curious that I picked it up. It was a pair of the most beautiful earrings I've ever seen! They look like a extremely detailed butterly.
In the same night, I went to the shopping mall with some friends. I noticed that a jewel store there had the very same earrings I found. I looked at their price. They cost 200 reais (like 115 dollars)!!
I just said after looking at their price "I'm a f*cking lucky person!!" XD
 
If this counts, people never expect me to live outside the US on sites like this (especially youtube) til they find out. :D

I won this candy pull in my class twice in a row
I got a used copy of gold once for my birthday, the unexpeteced part was the battery...was DEAD!
My brother came to tell me he had an issue setting up a game, i thought it was that he needed the remote (i lose it too much) but when i came, i saw E74!
And every time i win a drawing, i always think I lose 24/7
