Things You Don't Want To See In ORAS

So we have a lot of threads/discussions of what we would like ORAS to now have or things we want general improvement on. However, is there anything that people just do not want in these new games? Suppose ORAS has an entirely new and original story (it isn't a remake). What places, people, concepts, and/or things would you like to see dropped and why?

EDIT: Well I just learned that ORAS are full remakes. Nonetheless, I'm still curious what everyone would want dropped. I know GF can't get rid of anything due to ORAS being remakes, but even still.

This is going to be said a few times, I think, but later gym leaders with 3 pokemon is a huge no no. The new exp share is also a pain, although you can just turn that off.

I'm pretty simple when it comes to what I don't want:

~May getting 'replaced', like Kris was in HG/SS.
~The Pokemon Following feature returning without being optional.

The new exp share is also a pain, although you can just turn that off.

Very true. But it's far too tempting. >.<

I do not want to see the old Exp Share come back. It was awful and annoying and I prefer levelling competitive teams with the new one coupled with lucky eggs.

I don't want:

- New Pokémon in the remakes (some people think they will, for some reason, add new Pokémon in ORAS)
- The Exp.Cheat to come back with the X/Y mechanics
- Gym Leaders having only three/Elite Four having only four Pokémon
- Blaziken to be the only Hoenn starter with a mega evolution
- Free overpowered Pokémon. Please, stop giving Lucarios with Lucarionites and stuff like that for no reason

-No character customization. Iconic human designs being recreated is always my favorite thing about the Pokemon remakes(HGSS PC's being a huge letdown) and I really don't want to be tempted to change the look of Brendan, no matter how snazzy his outfits will be.
-Ignoring the new regions which have no place in the original 4 gens. I want to hear references to Kalos/Unova, with things like news about this new Organization called Team Plasma, Lysandre's earlier years playing a role(maybe to pop up in Hoenn?), stuff like that. Get the world into some sort of order.
-Locking out future Evos. I want Dusknoir to be available so badly.
-Open End E4. I swear to god if they make it like Unova/Kalos......
-Don't Ignore the new gym infrastructure. Bring back custom buildings, make a unison logo(maybe something new to Symbolize a Union of Pokejapan gyms?) and don't keep the old puzzles.

I really hope they don't water down the region/games in general. Someone said that they reason they haven't included as many water routes, and made the games linear in general is b/c of the little kids...I really hope they don't ruin Hoenn that way.

But maybe I'm just being paranoid.

These rumours suggest some thing that may be included in ORAS.
I wouldn't mind seeing most of these being true.

Treeko, Mudkip and Torchic still remain as starters.
Go-Goggles will have a key role in the story.
Surfing will be significantly reduced.
Secret bases return. Poke-dolls return, Furniture returns, and Wi-fi visiting will be enabled. Battles inside secret bases will be a feature. A generic background will be displayed during the battle.
The two bikes return - Mach and Acro.
Swampert and Sceptile will have Mega Evolutions. 17 new added . Not including the Eon Duo.
You can pick a Generation 2 starter mid-game ( at the 4th gym roughly ) each with a new Mega Evolution.
New Mega Evolutions.
Gen1: Jynx
Gen2: Meganium, Feraligatr, Typhlosion
Gen3: Sceptile, Swampert, Plusle, Minun, Masquerain, Milotic , Groudon*, Kyogre*
Gen4: Luxray, Cherrim
Gen5: Leavanny, Maractus, Zebstrika
*Groudon and Kyogres mega stones are actually the Orbs.
Swampert will retain its original typing, Sceptile will gain Dark typing.
The games will be released on the 21 November. A patch will be added to Pokemon X and Y on November 23 to allow for cross game communication.

What I don't want to see:
  • An expanded Pokédex. Just leave the Hoenn Pokédex as it is.
  • The game's difficulty adjusted to be me on-par with recent games; because they're way too easy.
  • The game half-assing StreetPass like XY did.

-Unova Style E4: It was bad enough in Unova, then they had to do it again in Kalos. Keep the E4 challenged in the same order with the same 5 Pokemon. NOT 4 each!
-Gym Leaders with 3 Pokemon: If they even think of trying to cap the number of Pokemon at 3 and in the lv40s...
-Exact Story from R/S: Let Rayquaza have some role in the story.
-Choosing Skin Color: This one is more minor, and one that wouldn't really matter if they did include it, but if the PCs really will be redesigned May and Brendan, I just think it'd be weird if they were so visually different than their designs were originally. But like I said, not that big of a deal.
-Same Roles for Rivals as R/S: Give them a bit more involvement in the story. As I recall, these guys were in no way involved with the Magma/Aqua conflict and trying to stop it. It's almost like they near ignored it entirely.
-Easier: As has been said, recent games do seem to be trying to make the games easier. I'd greatly appreciate them retaining the level of difficulty that was the original R/S.

-I don't want the Pokémart and the Pokémon Center to be combined. They should be separate like in the original games.
-Mega-evolution shouldn't be in the middle of the game, it should be a post-game thing. Although it wouldn't be exactly exclusive to Kalos anymore, it would still be more exclusive to Kalos than to Hoenn this way.
-The games need to increase in difficulty.

I think I'm missing something here, what was wrong with the Unova E4?

Because you can choose the order you battle them in, they are all at the same levels and with the same number of Pokemon. In other words, the difficulty does not increase as you go through. In past E4s, the Pokemon levels would get higher and it was more of a challenge since you couldn't just choose to go in the order of which suited your team more.

I really don't want to see:
Needing to catch a relicanth and Wailord to get the Regis. they're pretty hard to find, and I don't have time to train a Wailmer. I already need to train my main team, for crying out loud!

I'm pretty simple when it comes to what I don't want:

~May getting 'replaced', like Kris was in HG/SS.
That only happened because Kris was in Crystal, not GS. They're remaking two main games who already have two main characters.
~The Pokemon Following feature returning without being optional.
I agree with this

The new exp share is also a pain, although you can just turn that off.

Very true. But it's far too tempting. >.<
I can 95% guarantee it'll return with XY mechanics

I completely agree tbh, I think the furthest they'd go would be variations of the same type of clothes, or different colours etc. but you never know.

Post-E4 references would be nice but I doubt it given the HUGE timeline difference
-Locking out future Evos. I want Dusknoir to be available so badly.
-Open End E4. I swear to god if they make it like Unova/Kalos......
HGSS. Though I'm not confident they'll add them all. And why would they completely change the way the Elite Four worked?
-Don't Ignore the new gym infrastructure. Bring back custom buildings, make a unison logo(maybe something new to Symbolize a Union of Pokejapan gyms?) and don't keep the old puzzles.

Its a remake, that's a given
Go-Goggles will have a key role in the story.
I can't imagine what else it could do other than the desert thing
Surfing will be significantly reduced.
I can't see this being true, given the plot significance of the sea
Secret bases return. Poke-dolls return, Furniture returns, and Wi-fi visiting will be enabled. Battles inside secret bases will be a feature. A generic background will be displayed during the battle.
This is almost guaranteed
The two bikes return - Mach and Acro.
Again, it's a remake, that's not worth mentioning

I can only see some Hoenn Pokémon getting Megas, like Zangoose and Altaria.
The Johto starter thing simply won't happen, if the Johto starters are available it'll be a PokéDex completion reward.

Swampert will retain its original typing, Sceptile will gain Dark typing.
Where did this baseless balderdash come from

And the new Megas ;P

I really don't want to see:
Needing to catch a relicanth and Wailord to get the Regis. they're pretty hard to find, and I don't have time to train a Wailmer. I already need to train my main team, for crying out loud!
That'll stay, but they might make Wailord a tad more common in the wild to save time (I hope not, the time consuming Wailmer training was always exciting)

I just replied to each point in Bold.

-Unova Style E4: It was bad enough in Unova, then they had to do it again in Kalos. Keep the E4 challenged in the same order with the same 5 Pokemon. NOT 4 each!
If they do this at least make it so that the levels of the E4 pokemon increase as you defeat them, like the first you defeat has pokemon around level 60, then the second E4 pokemon increase by four levels and so forth, this way you can still do them in any order and they still get more difficult.

Unova Style E4: yeah, it did take out the challenge a lot. It was awesome climbing up the level stairs from Sydney to Drake and ultimately, Steven.

Oh, and the E4 should have 5 pokemons.

I do not want:

*The new XP Share being dropped. It is useful for quick lvling for competitive battling or pokedex collecting. And if you do not want it then turn it off.
*Hordes being dropped.
*Amie to stay.

--Roller skates
--Blaziken being the only starter with a Mega Evolution
--The same amount of player customization in XY
--Lack of color choices for the bicycle
--Lack of end game content
--Not being able to select the difficulty
--Reverting the XP Share to a held item
