Think Ash and Brock should travel alone a bit?

Say Dawn leaves.
Do you want 5th Generation Girl right away?
Or should Ash and Brock travel around to a few gyms for a while, than the newbie girl joins them?
Opinions?
 
Maybe Ash and Brock should travel alone for the first few episodes (around 15-20 of them) before meeting up. And the Gen V girl will meet up with Ash in the very first episode of Gen V.
 
But that would mean Dawn would have to leave probably before the Sinnoh League, depending on the pacing. Which would be out of character for her and also a bit bitchy considering how Ash has supported her, if she then went and repaid him by running off before waiting to see how he got on. No Dawn wouldn't do that to him.

Trust me, I'd love Brock gone.
I'm not getting my hopes up though on that.
I did last year when I saw that cool poster with Ash/Dawn/Paul on it and than boom Brock was back.
So yah, I'm not letting my hopes get high and just assume Brock will be there with Ash next Generation.
Dimond and Pearl, Ash and Brock were willing to travel without a girl or any one else.
I was thinking they could do things differently and have a few episodes without newbie girl.
 
I think the new girl should come straight away, Brock is nothing to me but a background character simply there to fill up room. Plus I'm not too keen on Ash, I couldn't bare to watch the show only focusing on him and not a co-ordinator or some other interesting character.
 
I hope Brock leaves, it should be Ash, dawn and new generation 5 boy.
 
don't get me wrong, i love brock. but he's always like "i'mma be the be the best breeder evar gaiz" and yet... he continues to follow these prepubescent idiots kids all over the place, not accomplishing anything. :/
it kinda doesn't make any sense for him to still be around, yknow?
 
I would like that, give Brock a chance to get a little or a LOT more screentime then he's gotten so far this Saga.
 
No, it would get too boring then. Although I do think that they should stop making new female characters and use the old ones for a little while, like Misty or even May.
 
YES, because then they could actually let him DO things, even if a "little bit" is just five episodes or thereabouts. The only reason people think he's boring is because he's constantly forced into the background and only shines when Croagunk's around (90% of the time out of 5% of the entirety), so if there's no girl to bump him back into the second row...there would be no reason for him to be the lump on the log.
 
Brock's been in the show for 630+ episodes. If they obviously haven't done much with him after all these years and episodes, they probably never will.

The writers had many opportunities to change the way they handled Brock in the show, but every saga he's more or less the same.
 
Ash needs to travel without Brock. Or Misty or Tracey. That's the only way he'll truly come into his own, and be a good mentor to a younger trainer. Pity the writers haven't figured this out. (If anyone on the writing staff is reading this right now, PAY ATTENTION!)
 
Having a new girl would be better than Ash and Brock traveling alone together. That's not that great of interaction.

totally agreed. He should definately get more screentime. And as for the episodes with him and Ash, I think that would be awesome
 
Sure, travel alone together, with one another, getting to know each other better, sharing stories, getting taught about 'breeding' and 'being a master'.
 
Well, Ash and Brock need a female to travel with or Pokemon might loose alot of fame, so my answer is no
