Think they'll ever do a whole episode on Jessie getting a ribbon?

I was disapointed that they once again did only a few scenes on Jessie getting a ribbon. I'm hopping they put a whole episode to Jessie getting her fifth one. Think the odd's of that one are?

Maybe. There's a chance they might do the "This is the last contest before GF! You have to win!!!" hype with her 5th ribbon, and I hope they do so. I think she will lose in the Togekiss contest, unless there's a real hurry for the GF... I would love the focus being on her instead of Iris/Togekiss if she wins.

I'm going to say yes, Musashi's 5th ribbon will be its own episode. The Rockets have been getting a focus episode every 20 or so episodes. We're nearing that right now since we have titles up to DP171, and the last Rocket episode was DP153. It just makes sense that the next focus episode would be this.

I also agree with Meron that her 5th will be a last Contest scenario. It just fits with the way Musashi's Contest arc has been portrayed as she's always been on the verge of missing out. I've lost track how many times we've all flip-flopped on whether or not she'll make it.

I don't know about a whole episode, but it should at least be heavily focused on.

I understand why Jessie's ribbon wins are rarely shown, the writers probably feel it would take too much attention away from Dawn, (although why they think that is beyond me, they probably think little kids would rather see Dawn win the ribbons), but now that Dawn is done they should give Jessie a big episode for it.

The pacing of Jessie winning ribbons has always been odd, there was such a huge gap between the second and third ribbon, but the 4th and 5th ribbon win will have to be closer together since the GF is near.

I certainly hope so! Even if it's not the whole episode, hopefully at least 90% of it will focus on her. It would be a big moment for Jessie and I don't think it will do it justice if she only gets minimum screen time.

Yeah, true, but that made it more interesting in my opinion (maybe even a little annoying too). But that's the way some things happen sometimes. And having her win so close to the GF makes it more suspenseful.

I don't see why it matters that she isn't a main character. You guys are forgetting just much focus the Rockets have received in DP. Not to mention that her third ribbon was practically its own episode anyway. Since the Rockets are due for an episode soon, why not have it be this?

Maybe Jessie could be the CoTD in her Jessielina disguie. Ash and co could be helping her with some problem that she is having about her contest. Like her pokemon being stolen or something.

I hope they will give a full episode to Jessie's last ribbon... but we better not expect this to happen - I don't know if they see Jessie as important enough for this...
But if we will get a full episode and assuming we see most of Iris' Contest in the Togekiss episode, that means we'd get 2 Contests after Dawn already got all her ribbons - something that never happened with May and that proves just how important Contests became in this show! We already had at least 10 Contests in DP and if we'll get 2 more without Dawn that further shows how the Contests really became an important part of this world

Even if she isn't the main character, she is still important and one of the key supporting characters. I mean she's practically in every episode, and I don't see why she doesn't deserve her own episode.

And even though May/Dawn was always the main focus, I don't see why that can be changed (only until Jessie catches up to Dawn and wins her 5th) If they want to keep contests going after Dawn won her 5th ribbon, then Jessie is the best character to focus on.

I 100% agree. The rockets have received a lot of focus lately.

Who knows. All of Jessie's ribbon wins, excluding the third, were all shown in brief clips and we never saw the full contest. I think the writers did do that purposely because she's not the main contest star.

The only reason we saw the full third one is because they also had to show Mamoswine cost Dawn a contest, and it made sense to have Jessie get a ribbon in that one.

Even though Jessie is winning contests in DP, she's still playing second fiddle to Dawn either way. Now that Dawn is out of the picture, they can have Jessie get a full final contest to herself.
