According to the Cartoon Network website, the newest episode of Pokemon DP Galactic Battles, "Pedal to the Mettle!," will be airing at 7:30am instead of 10:00am.

Right now, we don't know if this is a one-time thing or if this is going to be Pokemon DP Galactic Battle's new timeslot. I'm hoping for the former, really; the ratings for this show are too good for it to be shoved into this death slot.

Maybe a misprint? It would kill the show if they did this... unless they're showing it at 7:30 and 10:00 and kicking another show out...

what currently shows at 7:30?

Tom and Jerry, I think.

Wait, Pokemon airs at 10:00? The new episodes air at 9:00 am for me.

Unless that's just because of DST.

There seems to be Teen Titan marathon of sorts going on so maybe that's why? I really do not follow it anymore so this is just a guess.

No, the site clearly shows that Flapjack will be airing during Pokemon's regular timeslot.

They replaced Pokemon with... Flapjack.

Does that tell anyone something about the youth of this generation? That Cartoon Network will fill its more watched timeslots with crap like that?

Re: Next week's new dub episode airs at...7:30 A.M.???

The change really doesn't make any sense because Pokemon is the highest-rated show on Cartoon Network's Saturday morning block.

Maybe they figure Pokemon will do well regardless and are trying to see if the 10:00am (9:00am?) slot can help out some other show?

People need to calm down and get a life. Pokemon is not a fad anymore so who cares if Cartoon Network moves it to a different time slot, there are much better shows that have better ratings then Pokemon on Saturday mornings anyways, and while Pokemon do have good ratings it is not really that great of a show anymore like it use to be, and its the reason that Kids Wb went downhill in the first place.

Tell that to the multi-million copy selling games and the large fanbase that's still out there. Not a fad. HA!

Great, another reason for me to hate Flapjack (it's a retarded stupid program anyway.

Also, if this was happening in England it would be good... as people leave for school at eight, so I could watch Pokémon and then go to school after... *sigh*

Just because the games are still selling like hot cakes to you,and that the fanbase which is large but not the largest like it use to be back then, does not mean that Pokemon is a fad anymore how do you like that.Ha! Ha!. I don't like Flapjack that much either, damn Cartoon Network use to be really damn cool back in the , now it sucks with those crappy baby shows they have now.

Pokemon is the second best selling video game franchise in the world.

Don't the movies break sales-records or something when they premiere in Japan?

No one is freaking out. This thread has been pretty calm, actually.

The people who get up every Saturday to watch it?

I know *I'd* be pretty pissed I tuned in to watch Pokemon this weekend and saw another show in its place because of an unannounced schedule change.

there are much better shows that have better ratings then Pokemon on Saturday mornings

That's completely false. Pokemon consistently tops the ratings for Cartoon Network on Saturday mornings. Just check out October 24th's ratings:

CARTOON NETWORK 1.7/8 Avg. (7a-1p)
Secret Saturdays 1.0/12; Chaotic 1.2/10; Bakugan 2.0/12; The Super Hero Squad Show 2.0/10; Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl Galactic Battle 2.5/11; Hot Wheels: Battle Force 1.8/7; Batman: Brave & The Bold 2.1/9; Star Wars: Clone Wars 1.9/7; Ben 10: Alien Force 2.1/9; Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds 1.0/4; Johnny Test 1.3/6; Johnny Test 1.8/9

Source

It's one of the network's most-watched shows, yet it's being moved to an early Saturday morning death slot. It doesn't make any sense.

and its the reason that Kids Wb went downhill in the first place.

Which is why Kids' WB!, as a brand, folded a mere year after Pokemon left its block?

Logic fail.

I made a mistake and i don't mean anyharm. I don't hate Pokemon, i think it is a really great show on Cartoon Network and the Saturday morning block,i don't no why Cartoon Network change the time slot for Pokemon, i find that kinda stupid for them to do that and i do like playing the new Pokemon games on my nintendo ds.

Adding to what Dogasu said, Cynopsis has revealed Pokemon to be the highest rated show on CartoonNetwork's Saturday morning for about two months straight now.

But Dogasu, the link you posted for CN's lineup only goes to Friday, November 6th, so I'm not exactly sure where you got the information from.

Also, at least three other sources I've check (TVGuide, Zap2IT, and TitanTV) all have next Saturday's Pokemon episode listed at its usual 9:00 AM timeslot.

Edit: It now looks like these sites have updated their information to reflect what's listed on CartoonNetwork.

Re: Next week's new dub episode airs at...7:30 A.M.???

I can't get up that early anymore. When I was younger, the Saturday morning block officially began at 7:00 am Central. There was sometimes something on before that, but it was usually something lackluster, or an old show that few would care about anyway. I agree that this is a rather odd move for them to make, but for some perspective, this really only hurts the older audience like myself that can't get up that early. The little kids will still be able to watch it at that time. There may be another motive, although I don't know how that would help them. Remember how they stream eps on their site now? There you go.

Re: Next week's new dub episode airs at...7:30 A.M.???

Well...it could be a last-minute change. I dunno.

I guess the only thing we can do is keep an eye on all four sources throughout the week and see if the other three change the schedule to reflect what's on Cartoon Network's site.
