With 28 new evolutions and pre-evolutions, we must not forget those who have come before. Those poor non-Legendary Pokemon who do not evolve.

* Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan (so wrong), Pinsir, Tauros, Ditto, Lapras (problably, now that the sea slug don't appear to be related), Aerodactyl, Unown, Girafarig, Dunsparce, Qwillfish, Shuckle, Heracross, Corsola, Delibird, Skarmory, Stantler, Smeargle, Miltank, Sableye, Mawile, Plusle & Minun, Volbeat & Illumise, Torkoal, Spinda, Zangoose, Seviper, Lunatone, Solrock, Castform, Kecleon, Tropius, Absol, Relicanth, Luvdisc, Parap, Pachirisu, Masukippa, weird vortex ghost.

We salute you, lone 41. Apparently they were right, as now 90% of Pokemon do evolve. Maybe next time guys . . . maybe next time.
 
So, I guess now we know. That 90% garb meant out of EVERY generation, 90% will be part of an evolutjon chain. They really weren't jerking us around. :>

Sucks for some of them.

Edit: Ditto. I was pretty surprised that Perap is a single stage Pokemon....for now.
 
Out of those, many are gimmicks, and thus don't need evos.
Gimmick Pokemon: Ditto, Unown, Delibird, Smeargle, Plusle, Minun, Volbeat, Illumise, Relicanth, Kecleon.
Ones that didn't evolve or get a prevo for unrelated reasons: Aerodactyl, Shuckle, Heracross (doesn't need any help at all), Skarmory, Zangoose, Seviper, Lunatone, Solrock.
Truly shafted: Farfetch'd, Kanghaskhan, Miltank, Tauros, Girafarig, Qwilfish, Corsola, Stantler, Sableye, Mawile, Spinda, Luvdisc.
Debatable: Pinsir, Lapras, Torkoal, Tropius, Absol.
But still, we got a Murkrow prevo, dudes. Be happy!
 
Relicanth is so awesome because Coelacanth is so awesome. Relicanth needs no evolution!
 
I was hoping for a Tauros/Miltank shared prevo. Could have worked. Would have made sense. But...no. Oh, well. Plenty of other interesting new Pokes.
 
STILL NOT having a pre-evo of Kangaskhan is just irksome. None of the other Pokemon who got pre-evos were even asking for them. Kangaskhan, however, has been BEGGING for one since Gen II. Honestly, GameFreak.

I really wanted Farfetch'd and Delibird evos, too. But I guess now we have the Pochama line to overshadow our first penguin. Skarmory's okay as he is; he'll still be strong and I really didn't think he needed a pre-evo. Then again, I really didn't think Roselia needed one either, much less that it would get one. o__O
