My opinion is lacking.
They edit the original script too much and alter dialogue and personalities of characters.
They also have bad and lazy opening songs and terrible background music from Ed Goldfarb.
They also have "James Carter Cathcart" abusing the translation of the script.
And the voices of Ash,Jessie.James,Meowth,Oak,Brock,May and Max sucked, some of them still do and have the cast have no emotion in their acting. They are very unprofessional it's not funny,I'd rather watch the original japanese sub instead of this garbage.

What are your thoughts on the dub?

Seriously? You're still complaining about the changes even though ten years have passed? I guess some people prefer to live in the past and complain about everything post-2006. Topics like this are mostly dead, but still out there.

My opinions are that the anime is at least more faithful to the Japanese dub under TPCi. The voice actors are inferior to the originals, yes, but some of us have chosen to move on from the dub change rather than whine about it to our graves. The first opening for the X&Y series is a brilliant cover of the classic theme (especially the full version in M17). And just because Ed Goldfarb has done bad music doesn't mean all of his scores are worse than gibberish. I once saw a troll on these forums who demanded that all fans bash the dub music. I just told him that there are people who like Goldfarb's covers, even if they are inferior to the Japanese score.

I disagree,I think you're just settling for the new dub because you are in denial and gave up on the old one. The dub has so many disfunctions that it hurts, the voice cast don't care about the series or the fans and are making it less faithful than ever to the original. Some of them tweeted they hated the japanese version and Cathcart has been on record for saying his version is better.
