Heh, this was just a little ditty I felt like composing. I got the urge to do it while I was building the site for my DP Go-Rock Squad. Noone's explored the Go-Rock Quads or really anyone from Ranger that much, so I figured I'd give it a go.

Tiffany's Violin
Why.
Why, that was the only thought on the young woman's mind as she stepped off the S.S. Fiore II at Fall City's pier.
Why.
She brushed aside her long, blue-gray hair and rubbed her fingernails on her blue blouse in frustration. Never had she been so alone before.
Why.
All she felt was lonliness and abandonment. First her father, Gordor. He had abandoned the four of them after being defeated by those Rangers Lunick and Solana atop the Fiore Temple. She and her brothers Clyde, Garrett and Billy had given their all to help him capture the Legendary Pokémon Raikou, Suicune and Entei, yet those Rangers and their silly Capture Stylers foiled all their hard work.
Then her brothers abandoned her too. Traveling as a four piece rock band after Gordor's plan collapsed, they had ditched her in Summerland and fled. Where, she didn't know. All she knew was that it had to be the work of her oldest brother, Billy, and second-oldest Garrett. They were always the brains behind Gordor's scheme, and when they found out her secret, they abandoned her along with Clyde. Clyde was the foolish brother, always doing what "big bro" Garrett or "big bro" Billy told him to.
Why.
Yes, why was the question. As one of the Go-Rock Quads, it was a forbidden secret she held deep within the darkness sealing her heart shut....but when she turned to Billy for help and advice, he had betrayed her.
"Why......." she cursed herself as she stormed up the pier into the center of Fall City. "Of all the people I could fall in love with, it had to be him....."
Maybe Billy was right. Maybe, just maybe, her love was a foolish mistake. Billy always thought she was the most foolish of the Quads, even more than Clyde. Had she just kept her mind on the subject, Gordor's plan would have succeeded and then she'd have a suitable love interest. Despondant, she sat down on a metal park bench near the Solana Fountain in the city square.
"Damn it! I hate you!" she cursed Billy to the wind, not speaking to anyone in particular.
Billy and his electric guitar....always Gordor's favorite, and therefore the only one of the Quads who got important missions.
"He got to defend the base while all I did was hassle those Rangers in the Krokka Tunnel!" she growled to herself. "What does he know. He and that stupid damn electric guitar."
She stood and continued deeper into town. Of course, being one of the former Go-Rock Quads brought notoriety---and not that of the good kind. Citizens sneered at her on the street, and that was the nicest of the bunch. Even Teresa, the crazed woman with an entire troupe of Skitty living with her, had no respect for the washed-up musician.
"Oh, my love........why must I lust after someone so unattainable..."
She tried to put her mind on something else, like her favorite jewelry or her beloved violin. But it was in vain---all she could think of was him, the object of her dreams. Her wistful expression quickly turned angry as another person came into mind: the platinum-haired Ranger who surely had her dream's heart long before her.
Finally, she reached the Joy Clock Tower, the pride of Fall City. She sat on its base and stared out towards the ocean. It was here that they had done their last performance as the Go-Rock Quads seemingly so long ago.
"I'll always love you, even if you never know it. It might be forbidden for me to love someone from the Ranger Union......but I do."
She took her violin from her belt, fumbled for and found the bow for it, closed her eyes, and channeled all her dreams, love, anger and frustration into a plaintive melody. The tune carried out over Fall City, enrapturing the citizens.
One man in particular was captured by the beautiful sound of her music. He was just loitering outside the Ranger Base of the city, but when he heard the melody he adjusted his blonde hair and blue glasses in surprise, then went inside. A moment later he came out with his Dodrio and carrying a large box.
Music was her life. No matter how much Billy bullied her, Garrett mocked her, or Clyde just....acted like Clyde, music was her escape. Drowning herself in her music, she imagined a world where her love was real and she was free of Billy's torment.
"Tiffany."
Tiffany opened her eyes and looked up from her violin. She was shocked to see the blonde man jump off his Dodrio and set the big box down next to her.
"J-Joel?"
"That was a very beautiful song just now, Tiffany. You've become a master with that violin of yours."
"Y-you really think so?"
"Of course. Here, I got you a gift when I heard you were coming to Fall City. Reach into that box."
Tiffany complied, reaching into the box. She felt an object inside of smooth, slick composition, with what seemed like strings attached to it. When she pulled it out......it was a shining, brand new violin.
"A new violin?! Joel, thank you!"
"Think nothing of it," Joel replied cooly. "You've been playing that old violin for far too long. Thought you would appreciate a new one. I do want you to think of what's still in there, though."
Tiffany reached back into the box and drew out a smaller box. She opened this box, and inside was a shining silver necklace with the emblem of Fall City on its charm.
"Joel...this...this is lovely...."
"I knew you'd like it."
"Can....." Tiffany choked up and turned red in the face. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Shoot."
"Joel.....do you....like me?"
"Of course. Gordor and your brothers were evil. You're not a bad sort, no, not at all."
"I mean, like....do you....love me?"
"I can't say it out loud......but......" Joel nodded.
"You...do?!!! But....hasn't that hot girl you work with, Aria, got her hands on you?"
"Aria? HAH! I couldn't have a relationship with her if you tied me upside down and dropped a Snorlax on me. You, however, I can get along with." Joel got back on his Dodrio. "I'm heading off to Wintown. Want to join me?"
"Of course....my love."
Joel lent a hand to help Tiffany up onto Dodrio, then the two of them rode off into the distance. As she held on, one thought locked in Tiffany's mind:
Dreams come true.
~End~
