Tim Burton might do a "Sleeping Beauty" film

There's only one thing I can say about that.

:loopy:

Oh hell yes. Maleficent is my favorite Disney villain and I'd love to see a movie from her side.

Okay, Alice I understood. The story was on drugs enough as it was that Burton couldn't do much else with it, but Sleeping Beauty... I have no idea how to feel. While I felt the story to be bland and stuff, Malifacent is the current #1 best Disney Villain of all time. I loved her because she's so simply evil. She was the female Sylar before Zach Quinto was even born... or retconned into a complex character. Anyways, I will wait until I see something concrete, then I shall pass judgment.

This would be great, Maleficint is the one of the best things about Sleeping Beauty. She is a fun character.

Wonder if he's going to screw it up like he did with that ghastly adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I couldn't stand that Michael Jackson-esque Willy Wonka!

I did like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride, though.

I bet Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp are going to be in this one. I can understand why, though (Helena being Tim's wife and Johnny Depp being a close friend.)

Helena as Malificent and Johnny as... the prince. Why not?

To speak fair, he stayed far truer to the original tale.
Besides, just be glad it was Depp, Marilyn Manson almost got the part himself.

God, that would've been scary.

I actually could see Burton doing something like this. Malificent seems like the kind of character Burton could work with. The others I'm not so sure of, but we'll see.

I read the comments on the site linked there. Someone suggested Burton should do the movie version of Wicked. Now that I might a little bit of a stretch.

Well I'm happy, I've never seen the original movie but I think Tim Burton would be good with a film like this.

I'm just wondering what he's going to do after he makes this.

I hope he doesn't do a remake of Aladdin or Pinocchio after this!

Dont get me started about alladin etc,

his movies are weird and boring.
The headless horse man was probably the best out those boring movies he has made.
