Time Capsule?

I've seen this topic somewhere before.

Anyway...it'll probably be replaced with Pal Park. But I'd love to see the Time Capsule return. Maybe it'll be able to transfer more than six Pokémon per day this time around?

It might be the modern version of Pal Park in the games. This would however take out some of the interactive aspect that pal park had, unless you actually went back in time to capture your pokemon? I don't think they would need it to trade with DPPt because I think they happend at the same time (in game cannon that is).

Good. I hated recapturing my own Pokemon. Just let me transfer my Pokemon and be done with it, I don't want to dick around looking for my own Pokemon all over again. I could be using that time to do more useful things ingame.

I don't understand,why would it be replaced?

They could still keep it,but it works like Pal Park.

Frankly, I'm with Dex. Why do we have to recapture that which has already been captured. Yeah, just use the freaking time capsule to get us our pokemon.

I prefer Time Capsule, which makes you transfer 6 Pokemon every day.
However I suffered from the severe rules that came with migrating in DPPt. I mean, if you adjust your time settings and decide to migrate Pokemon two months later, the game tells you to wait another 24 hours.

Since you can't trade with Gen III games, it's almost sure that the TC as we know it won't come back. So either they scrap it once and for all, or as Dex said, it will replace the PalPark, after all, they both serve the same purpose.

Storywise, it will also make more sense, since the PalPark system consists on depositing Pokémon and later take them in the Park, or in this case, the Capsule, and in GSC Bill found a deposited Pokémon (although GenII's Capsule didn't work that way) when he was repairing it. I think it was UL who pointed this, I'm not too sure.

So we can have the same DPPt's PalPark transfer system (with 6 Pokémon per game every 24 hours), only that instead of recapturing the deposited Pokémon, you just withdraw them for the TC.

Time Capsule was tricky because certain moves/types/pokemon didn't exist in RBY (also they couldn't hold items), so unless new moves are introduced in HGSS, I imagine they'd do a Pal Park type thing again.

It's not a new generation, so there won't be any new moves. Trading via DS Wireless Communications will be possible between DPPt and HGSS, and a Time Capsule/Pal Park sort of feature will make sure you can migrate Pokemon from Gen III. Trading back won't be possible at all, so the moves don't matter.

It's not "recapturing", it's a minigame.

That said, you should be allowed to reject playing it.

I'd like to see a Time Capsule that works only with DS and DS Lite.

from FireRed and LeafGreen, I mean.

If a Pal pars in, it won't be used, if GBA games still can be traded from and no Pal Park, it will be in. Otherwise, what would be the point? There is hadly that much time difference from HGSS to Sinnoh right?

Nope no time difference at all i think. And the time capsule can be in for trading from the gba games. Like trade from the past to the future only thing or something. For DPPt its in the same generation so normal gts or wifi trading or even wireless next to each other trading would be fine.

I can't quite remember the timeline of the games, but I think Gen III takes place at the same time as Gen I. (FRLG is RBY and I guess RSE is set at the same time as well.) GSC are the sequels to RBY, and so HGSS are the sequels to FRLG. This means HGSS take place after FRLG. DPPt take place at the same time as GSC/HGSS.

So... the Time Capsule could be used for importing Pokemon from Gen III, and the normal way of trading would be used to trade Pokemon with the other games of Gen IV.

The new HGSS site confirms that a Pal Park like feature is included! It is most probably the Time Capsule that will be used for this.

Go to Poké Beach for more details.
Interesting... I noticed that it said it won't be compatible with My Pokemon Ranch, and then it says "including Platinum version". Does that mean Platinum isn't compatible with Ranch? That can't be right, because it was patched in Japan.

I hope Ranch gets a patch for HGSS (and for Platinum too, since the rest of the world is stuck using Diamond and Pearl with space for only a 1000 Pokemon.)

Exactly. Platinum isn't compatible with Ranch. Unless you get the patch that hasn't been released out of Japan. So what the site means is that not even the Platinum upgrade will be compatible with HGSSS, therefore Ranch will need a second patch for supporting them.

They could hold items though - in fact, the only way to get some items was to take them off Pokémon from R/G/B/Y.

The time capsule could act like pal park without the need to recapture the pokemon, just transfer them to your pc box, be simple.

Youd use the migrate option, choose the 6 pokemon, go to where the time capsule is and you would be told that "6 pokemon from the past are awaiting someone to collect them. We think that person is you" then you obtain 6 pokemon.

I totally agree with Shinx, and I reallywant, hope and expect that the TC works like that. To be sincere, I don't see any other way of working.
