So I have my account set at GMT-5 DST, because of that, the time changes to GMT-4. Now that's normal, it gives me the right time. However, on occasion the DST feature doesn't work. Now I'm not sure if this is an issue on my laptop's browser, but it frequently happens on the DSi.

That's weird. I thought time was serverside, so it should be unaffected by what browser you're using--but I could be wrong. Are you always logged in on the DSi?

So did I, so that's why I was wondering. I've been browsing using my DSi more recently. However, I have noticed something strange. My account displays the proper time when I use the DSi shortly after logging on from my laptop (or atleast the first time I go on). After going off and on again, the timestamp is off by an hour.

Posting to say I resolved the issue. After downloading a DSi update and updating my DSi browser, I was searching for what actually changed. Though I still don't know what got updated, I did learn that the DSi browser has a time setting on its own, and DST was not enabled.

vBulletin has a truly hideous way of detecting DST: it looks at the difference between what the server thinks your time should be and what your computer thinks the time should be, and if it is greater than a certain threshold, then it assumes DST needs to be toggled.
