Has anybody else noticed that every move the main casts pokemon have lernt off-screen have been TMs?

Dwebble's Rock Slide
Stunfisk's Scald
Pansage's Rock Tomb
Stunfisk's Sludge Bomb
Palpitoad's Sludge Wave
Leavanny's X-Scissor
Krookodile's Aerial Ace
Pignite's, what I am assuming to be Brick Break

Coincidence? Or do you think this is intentional?

For the record, X-Scissor and Rock Slide are also level up moves for Leavanny and Dwebble respectivly. Pignite doesn't have Brick Break either. I think it's just a coincidence.

TM's and HM's never really existed in the Pokemon anime from the start, so I think this was intentionally done.

Some more: (learnt on-screen though)
* Boldore's Rock Smash
* Unfezant's Aerial Ace
* Scraggy's Focus Blast
* Pansear's SolarBeam (Chilli's ... not a main character though)

And yeah, still not confirmed, but Pignite's Brick Break would be the newest addition to the TM/HM club.

They need to pull out the big guns like fire blast and Giga impact then -.-

Tranquill's Wing Attack, Oshawott's Razor Shell........oh wait.

Yeah it's a coincidence.

Pignite can learn Brick Break through TM in the games, and it is the only Fighting-type move that I can see Ash's Pignite using in this match.

Yes, I know that Pignite can get Brick Break by TM. He just doesn't have it yet. I'd personally prefer him to learn Wild Charge too.

The anime is like the mystery dungeons, resistances and immunities mean jack squat, all that matters is STAB and utility.

He was using a move that looked like it in the latest next-episode preview.

Honestly, I'm not sure even STAB matters.

I've seen it. Since the episode hasn't actually aired yet though, that means he doesn't have the move yet. I'm just going by airings here.

This may be getting a bit off topic now too.

I can just imagine TMs being cheesy instructional videos like "How to train YOUR pokemon to use CUT" or sthng. Ash would watch them off camera.

Yeah it's a coincidence.

It's assumed Oshawott always knew Razor Shell, it just never used it untill BW006. The same could be said for Tranquill's Wing Attack, after all it only had three moves and we didn't see it use Quick atack as a Tranquill untill the episode it evolved.
