Do you like the idea that TMs won't disappear after you use them? I don't really like this because, one of the big differences between TMs and HMs is that HMs don't go away after using them. With TMs, some contain really powerful moves which you should only be able to use one at a time on your Pokemon. Otherwise all TMs will be like HMs except without the overworld effect. Discuss what you think here.

I agree, I do not like this idea at all, but did they say it would happen?

It was confirmed on Serebii

Rain Dance Team and Sunny Day team and stuff like that'll be SOOOOOO much easier now  :yahoo:

Well for things you can't ever get again unless you trade (like shock wave) it's fine I guess. But for TMs you can buy I dont like the idea. They should just make a store that sells all the TMs. Or many stores that sell different TMs.

I do not like the idea -.-

Now HMs will just be TMs with overworld features. I liked how HMs were different :/

My view is this. I would rather the TM's not disappear after use, but I have a (somewhat complicated) idea that they should've use. Since TMs and HMs are supposed to be different, my idea was that after using a TM, it would need time to "recharge" before it can be used again. For example, if a TM is used say 8 PM, it would need to recharge for a day (or, basically, once 12 midnight rolls around, it can be used again). While HMs can be used over and over as many times as one wants during a single day, thus making them more "powerful" (after all, they're harder to get than TMs, so they would have more "power" due to rarity).

It's a crazy idea, but it would restrain someone from going nuts with a TM like Earthquake within a single day (since a lot of Pokemon can learn the aforementioned TM). But I haven't seen Serabii.net lately, so if they say they won't vanish after use, that's a massive improvement from past generations.

EDIT: Just checked out Serabii.net out of curiosity and I'm pleased to see this. This means coveted TMs like Earthquake, Psychic, Stone Edge, etc... can be used more. No more trading and no more cheating. Although this might make some results of Pickup useless (most likely, they'll modify it, as done before). But still, this is a major improvement, and I'm quite happy about it!

I really like the idea. It's not like the addition of unbreakable TMs is "broken" or anything. It just saves you from wasting all that time racking up BP so you can be another Earthquake TM. It's just convenience.

Edit: I prefer the idea CynthiaLover has. Having to wait a day to use the TM again is a really good compromise.

This is an awesome idea. Back in gen IV, you had to have TMs to teach Pokemon moves, but once you used them, they were gone.
This will cause less people to cheat as well, as then people won't be using "all TMs x99" codes.

This is the best damn thing ever for Gen V. Now I don't need to lose time for thinking breeding chains, or not using strategies that requires a move that the Pokémon's pre-evolution can not learn because I can't breed Pokémon with the moves(Rock Polish Torterra for example).

I am very pleased about this. This is one of the best things ever happened to my life, maybe since HG/SS' new egg moves.

That's a great idea! Maybe you could go to a place where somebody can recharge your TM. For a price, of course!

I'm not sure what to think... I think it's pretty awesome, but at the same time stressing over the use of TM's was hardly an issue for me. The only problems that I've had with TM's is actually finding them out in the wild, or trying to rack up money to buy certain ones. I guess it's pretty awesome if I wanted two different Pokemon to use Flamethrower or somethin' like that.:-/

How can anyone possibly dislike using TMs forever?

It make it really cheap to use TMs then. Like Cynthialover said, you could teach your whole team earthquake (if they could all learn it) when before it was really rare

I hate this. The point of TM's expiring was that you would be limited as to a pokemon's moveset. Maybe most TM's will be really hard to get.

For those of you who don't really like this idea, I wouldn't jump the gun just yet... now that I think about it, it seems like they're making it a little too easy, the way that some of you are describing and worrying about. There could be some sort of catch, but I guess it's a little hard to say at this point.

But I am a little confused over the hate of this also... wasn't there a bunch of you that previously wanted the TM/HM system to be a little bit "easier"? If so, being able to use TM's without having them disappear on ya is the best that you're going to get. Oui, the fandom I tells ye...

I agree that they seem to be making it a little too easy. I think that they will make it really hard to actually get most TMs.
