It's nothing overly fancy, but I think it would help for people to see who is the most active, or for people to strive to be the 'best' poster. It can also disclude certain forums so Fun and Games or maybe RPGs could be emitted.

Like I said, it's quite simple but I think it's a handy little feature just to have. As far as I know, we don't currently use it.

Wouldn't that encourage posting for the sake of racking up posts, rather than just posting because you have something to say?

Then again, one could argue postcounts already incent that anyway.
 
How about showing the posts that have received the most "likes" today?

I agree. This will just create unnecessary rivalry and spam for the forum. It will be about quantity, instead of quality.

The same will go for the likes. I just don't see any benefit out of this.
 
Agreed with the above. Posting should never be a popularity contest.
