Did I miss some big important episode..Was it that episode when Togepi left.....Why do so many people think it's a boy...I don't understand...Maybe I missed a (few?)episode or something.
 
Would it really matter?

He/She/It/Evil Demon Egg Spawn that sucks the life out of its trainer would have still sucked and Deux Exed everyone.
 
Togepi's gender doesn't matter, although I've always thought of it as a boy.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that your definition of 'a lot', here, is 'those two or three people that mentioned it in the past half a decade or so'. Pikachu's gender has been discussed an ungodly amount of times, and others just a bit, but it seems that those who really gave a crap were the shippers or those pointing out the obvious. And those who had any sense didn't let the genders bother them because it doesn't matter either way.
 
What is WITH all these gender threads on the forums anyway? Can't we just all discuss this in a single gender thread?

Honestly, aside from Pikachu, there's no reason why every other Pokemon needs their own thread. Its annoying.
