Toon Disney to air Jirachi movie

Yay!

That's great news, Blackjack! ^_^

I love Jirachi Wish Maker.

It'll be fun to watch the 6th movie again.

And it hasn't been shown on TV in quite a while. ^^

I was about to say that this weird that it's on Toon Disney, but I remember that this movie was released by Miramax, which Disney owns.

Though, it is still weird, but cool, that it's on a Disney station.

They have, quite a couple of times in-fact.

But Toon Disney also airs Digimon...

*universe explodes*

Pokémon and Disney? o.o That's a bit weird.

On the plus side, Pokémon's slowly taking over children's television.

It's not weird when you consider that they're linked via Miramax.

What is weird is that the same applies for, say, Kill Bill and Playhouse Disney...

I was actually wondering a couple days ago why they haven't, if they own Miramax.

Why Disney doesn't generally air Pokémon? Because WB usually broad casted Pokémon as a series, but Disney owned the movies. It wouldn't make sense for Disney to randomly show a Pokémon movie in their lineup, especially when Disney doesn't usually deal with foreign (other the Canadian and British television) shows.

Plus the fact that it seems Disney can be picky on what movies they show (as in, you rarely see a movie without the famous Disney castle logo in the beginning).

Woah, *eyes widen*. One of my fav. Pokemon movies (next to Lucario) is airing on my birthday! That is so sweet to know!

Hmm, I wonder if Toon Disney might eventually get more Pokemon.

I was referring to the movies 4-7.

yea, Jirachi is my fave movie also.
I ordered it a few days ago actually! lol
the first time i saw it was like 2 weeks ago...

the clips had everything besides the last 30 mins.
i know what happens in the end, but i wunna see it!!

and i read that this movie uses the same kind of canvas art
the disney uses, so thats proof they sort of own it

Miramax only owns movies 4-7. WB owns 1-3 and Mewtwo Returns, and Viz owns 8.
