my TOP 5 WOULD BE:
1- SEASONS
2- CHARACTER CUSTUMIZATION
3- SECOND REGION
4- IMPROVEMENTS ON PSS/GTS
5- DIFFICULTY LEVELS
*I wanted to add some of these in the poll but i couldn't add more.

the new idea that I put was the trainer abilities (its from a friends from a pokemon Spanish forums)
while you are playing pokemon your character will be able to do some things easily little by little. and will be a professional or a kind of trainer depending on what is better on. for example: if this trainer complete the pokedex in a short time or something like that, would be downloaded facilities.

I don't know if I explained well the idea... what do you think?
 
1. New Mega evolutions.
2. New region but get to return to Kalos
3. Difficulty levels
4. Option to have a pokemon follow you
5. Battle facility that is not Maison.
 
1. New region (though it's most likely going to happen anyway)
2. Difficulty levels, available from the start. Recent games have been far too easy IMO and it'd be wonderful if we could give ourselves a challenge.
3. Trainer abilities. It actually sounds like a pretty neat concept, and it'd be interesting to see GameFreak implement something like it.
4. New Mega Evos, even if it's just a few. Anywhere from 9 to 12 would be alright.
5. Character customization with more options.
 
Some of the listed features seem too inevitable for me to really consider. We are undoubtedly getting a new region, and almost certainly new Mega Evolutions as well. That being said:

1. Trainer customization, but I know it's not going to happen.
2. I don't want an entire second region in the post-game, but something like the Sevii Islands/Battle Zone/Eastern Unova would be fantastic.
3. Difficulty modes would be great, but these seem very unlikely to return.
4. Multiple save files - also never going to happen, but I can dream.
5. Trainer abilities seem like a really interesting concept with a good bit of potential. It's something they could experiment with.
 
1. Trainer Customization - There's been a lot of talk that it might not be back and that depresses me to no end! I want to buy clothes damn it!
2. New Megas - Probably a given we'll get some, but megas are a great way to make old, weak or mediocre pokemon shine, and i want a lot more of them.
3. Your pokemon follows you - What is more cute than having your favorite pokemon follow you? Come on.
4. Pokemon customization - By this I basically mean seals. Bring back seals! I want confetti to show up whenever I throw out my mega mawile!
5. Other - Dex nav! Bring it back! It blew my mind, I used the hell out of this thing!
 
1. Trainer customization - The best feature that ever happened to Pokémon imo and I really really hope it stays.
2. Following Pokémon - please please please please it's so cute
3. Difficulty levels - So there can be more challenge for those who prefer it.
4. Pokémon customization - With Trainer customization the trainers can look more unique, but it would be great if your Pokémon could look more unique too! At least let the seals come back...
5. Other - More savegames please, I want to replay the story without losing all my BP and the stuff I bought from it :(
 
Seasons-They absolutely need to return. I am pretty sure they will too, as their exclusion from XY is likely similar to Day/Night being excluded in RSEFRLG.
Kalos- This is another thing that I am sure about being a thing, the 3DS era is likely going to be much like the GB Era, all one story and such.
PokeDevice-The updated PokeNav was such a glorious return to form, I can see them bringing something like it back. More streamlined however. Stuff like the PSS/Amie/Super Training is now built in and not a subset of menus like the clustercluck it was in ORAS, alongside a new form of the DexNav. The way I see it, a Map mode combining DexNav and Trainer Call, a Play Mode for online play and the XY minigame screens, and an info mode for an updated TvNav like thing.
Soaring and Riding-HM's still exist, but not as battle moves. Soaring is the new flying, and for those who don't want to go through the soaring system a new HM for flying style fast travel but on the ground is now available. Pokemon who learn surf can also use waterfall and dive, which are now TM's. Its streamlined and effective.
A major sidequest- Something like Pokeathlon or Pokestar Studios. Meaty, a time sink, and something that offers variety. Pokemon Contests are one playstyle, which have to be done 20 times as a bare minimum for getting the Master Rank in all five classes. Were as in the other two, you have 10 sports for 5 categories, which both have to be mastered individually and as the 5 categories, offering in-game trophies for various milestones, or in the case of te movies, you have nearly 50 levels to play, multiple storylines you choose to play out how you want, and 3 distinct ways to act out each storyline. And the rewards for both are much mire tangible, especially pokestar, which gives you item farming, and one of the easiest ways to get huge pools of cash in a short amount of time.

1) Trainer customization. I enjoyed it in Kalos and I hope to get it back in Sun and Moon.
2) The return of the Friend Safari.
3) New Megas.
4) Contests or something of the like where you and your Pokemon can earn Ribbons.
5) A really good in-game story and a great postgame with another really good story.
 
1. Trainer Customization - this is a must, you've proven that it can be done, now KEEP IT
2. New Region, lets be honest, we are always going to be in a new region. Just accepting it.
3. Allow your pokémon to follow you. Please bring this back. It was cute and it was fun.
4. Please, for the love of Arceus, let us select our difficulty AND put in a freaking hardcore mode. It can't be too difficult, and it would be a sweet challenge for some of us more advanced players
5. Lets revisit a region or 6. Why not. Lets get us ALL of the badges, all of the 'mons and make this gen awesome!
 
I will add one more that I have just remember about and I really love when I finished the game or I wanted to train: re-battle with leader gyms!

I think it's pretty useful to enjoy the game again with other pokemon team, without re-starting the game again... and specialy if there isnt a difficulty level
 
Oh no, I just ment a similar mechanic, not another remake. I love HGSS, but we don't need another one.
 
1. Trainer customization. We waited 17 years for it, please let us not wait 17 more.

2. Pokemon customization. I would love to dress my Heracross in a cute little hat! :X3:

3. Difficulty level. I don't want the game to feel like a walk in the park. I want to actually sweat and stress throughout the whole game!

4. New Pokemon type. I am not sure exactly why I want this, but it would be cool to have. :p

5. Other. I want a device that let's us connect with our PC. This device, the PC Connector, let's us access HM moves that Pokemon in the PC has learned. This way we don't have to carry a HM slave around.

1. Your Pokémon following you. You kinda just feel closer to 'em. They are more like friends than tools of war that way (which is kind of a big deal in Pokémon). Although I liked the pokémonamiethingy, I'd rather walk around and talk with my pokémon.

2. Difficulty level. X and Y was sooo easy compared to other games. The gymleaders only had three pokémon, the Elite Four had four - and most of them were pretty easy to 1-hit-KO. Sure, I might have gotten older, but I still have some trouble battling leaders like Clair. I think they made it easier for younger players, but it's not fun for them either if they just get the legendaries thrown at them. Ugh. (They could at least add a hardmode or something)

3. Seasons. Because making it winter one place and summer in the next place doesn't make much sense. I'd rather be able to see the whole region at different seasons.

4. Pokémon customization. Because I've always wanted that - Ways to make your own pokémon more unique.

5. Trainer customization. I love this feature so much. Some of the playercharacter designs are just .. ughh. X and Y made my character feel more like an avatar to me (wish I could remove my hat though).

I also would love getting seasons back and gym leader rematches! However instead of a new region, I'd wish for an expanded Kalos, perhaps if AZ's weapon is included in the upcoming plot, Kalos would be remade or there would be (limited?) access to other regions (time-space-multireality and that 4th gen stuff would fit to the theme).

Trainer and Pokemon customization sound curious.
 
Here's what I selected.
  1. A New Region. That is obviously going to happen like it did in previous games.
  2. Your Pokémon Follows you. I liked having my Typhlosion following me in HeartGold, but make it optional.
  3. Difficulty Level. Because people complain about the game being too easy (although I would do the easy setting).
  4. Battle Tower. In fact bring back the Battle Frontier.
  5. Trainer Customization. To help give variety on battling people online. But keep a default option for the opposite gender rival.
