Hey guys, this is my team for Pokemon platinum, I just started playing pokemon like a week ago and I'm pretty hooked

-Hyper Beam
-Aura Sphere
-Protect

Starmie

Destroy me lol
Thanks so much, and if there are any websites that I can read to help me get better at this let me know.

Well, if you're looking to get better, you're on the website now.

I must say, for one week in this is good.

If you have the TMs Rest and Sleep talk and wouldn't mind giving Thunder Wave and Endure on Rotom a Miss, the other two moves would be used with Sleep Talk, and it'd be a way to get a practically invincible 'mon.

I should mention that this needs EVs for us to rate it in competitive battling. You should post it in the in-game team thread since it's for in-game purposes.
Now, as an in-game team, it's great! For one week, you've made an excellent in-game team. However, I don't see why you have Sunny Day on Weavile. Change it to Night Slash.
Competitive, it wouldn't work. You need to set up a lead, then try to anticipate, trap and destroy threats. This team is made up totally of attacking mvoes meant for sweeping, and you haven't shown us EVs, as mentioned. (if you don't understand what EVs are, go here

Yeah, I agree that this should go to the in-game team thread.

To answer your question, no this would not work at all on Wi-Fi(which is what I'm guessing you mean by multiplayer). Garchomp is banned by most players, your Pokemon do not have optimal movesets (Rotom is by far the best in that department), and everyone uses optimal EVs, IVs, and natures which are probably things you don't worry about.

I wouldn't stress about it though, since you're a newbie. It actually takes awhile to get used to these things. It's fine for your purposes.

This. I started reading about EV/IV/Natures/Smogon more than a year and a half ago, last week I started getting building some Pokemon for a team.

If you want to be good at battling I suggest reading some of these articles. Start whit the introduction and carry on from there.

Also look at RMTs, either here, at Smogon, Serebii or wherever. Also at least for me it helped watching some "professionals" on Youtube, some of my favorites are Anniecarrots, Jimmy31428 and TheKillerNacho.
