ok, I was just reading all the comments and stuff on episode 189. Takuto beat Ash and won the entire league, yeah. But we know that since he won the league, Takuto will now have the chance to challenge the E4 and Cynthia. So here's my totally crazy out of the blue theory...

What if Takuto wins the E4 challenger and beats Cynthia?? What if Takuto becomes the new champion, which would mean he's the champion during the Isshu saga? So far they've only revealed two gym leaders for the new games, so its entirely *possible* for the champion character in BW to be Takuto. Maybe the writers of the anime introduced him early, before the games ever came out, as hidden foreshadowing to the next arc?

Yeah I know. Its probably not true; I'm only proposing this theory for fun. *BUT* what if it was true? I think that would be awesome; it would show some great future planning for the writers, and if Takuto became the new champion for the next saga, Ash would have a strong motivation to work extra hard to try and win the league to possibly get a rematch with him; since he lost to him in the Shinou league.

Wouldn't beating Cynthia only make him champion of the Sinnoh region and not the Isshu region?

I think it could happen. Takuto is an INSANE trainer if he owns a Darkrai and a Latios. No doubt the rest of his team are powerhouses too.

Either way, I hope this is not the last of him. I hope he gets a much bigger role, so I definitely hope he's champion of the Isshu region.

The Isshu Champion will be whichever character it is in the games, and it is a safe bet that they don't own a Latios, let alone a Darkrai.

Winning a league competition in a specific region permits battling the Elite Four of that specific region. Therefore, Takato will only be eligible to officially battle the Sinnoh Elite Four.

We can likely assume that a character who wins in any Isshu Pokemon League will have the right to challenge the Isshu Elite Four.

That is an interesting question, and it goes into something else I was wondering, namely, is there more than one "champion league" for the Pokemon world, or does the Champion League apply to all regions?

The first time we ever heard about it was when Lucian mentioned it back in early DP, and then he only just mentioned the champion league in the singular. He didn;t say "champion league of Sinnoh" or something like that, so it seemed to me like it could be just one league for the entire pokemon world, that you can enter by winning a regional league. But then of course the main question becomes "if there's only one Champion league, why do the E4 and the Champion keep changing so often?" Maybe there's an E4 for each region, and then one champion over everything?

yeah, of course the champion in the games will use BW Pokemon. Thats a given. But that doesn't exclude Takuto from being that person, in theory. He has other pokemon, and can catch new ones. And like I said, the character from the games hasn;t been revealed yet...

When wallace appeared in DP wasn't he introduced as the Champion of Hoenn? That was after Cynthia already appeared so most likely each region has its own E4 and Champion

If Ash's 'cross didn't stand a chance, why would Aaron's? Type advantage can only do so much.

And anyway, it's not like Aaron's Pokemon are able to fight Darkrai's Bad Dreams ability...

Champions partake in other regions sometimes to test their ability... I mean, that's what I'd do. I would want to find someone who could make me sweat instead of ruling a region.

Aaron's pokemon are a lot stronger than Ash's.ot only does he have type advantage but his pokemon are wickedly strong and dont go down easily

Aaron's still the weaker of the Elite Four, and in my own opinion not much stronger than a gym leader. If those gym leaders couldn't take Darkrai down, I think Aaron will struggle just as much, if not he may take it down only to get the Latios treatment.

I have to say I admire the hell out of him for using the same Pokemon all the time instead of going for the ideal matchup. Goes to show how powerful he is.

Its been a while since I saw those episodes, so maybe I'm wrong, but I thought they introduced him as a former gym leader and League champion, without specifying a region.

Hey, isn't it possible, that Takuto was already the Champion of Isshu, before he came to Sinnoh? The fact that he has two confirmed Legendaries, suggests he could have others too, so he must be an insanely powerful trainer, without them as well. And I figure the two Regions could be far away from each other, to have totally different league-presidency. Just think about it: new Officer, new Nurse. Mr. Goodshow didn't have a single sentence during the whole SC, and have what? 3-4 2-seconds cameos? That's the least role he had so far. Maybe he's not even the president of the League in Isshu. What I'm trying to say, if Takuto really was the Isshu Champ, could it be not even Goodshow or Cynthia knew about it? That would explain a lot. Or am I combinating too much, just because I don't want him to be a oneshot League-rival, like all -sons were?

Nope. Takuto will be pawned by Aaron and his bugs who kill Dark Types and Psychic Types as their morning workout.

Waaaaaay back in DP 35, Lucian told the group that winning a league allowed the trainer to enter the champion league and challenge the E4 and the Champion. Takuto won the league, so obviously he can do that now.

I checked DP 75 again, the first episode that Wallace appeare in. Its not one of the subtitled episodes, so I could be getting it wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Shinou Now newscaster said he was a former gym leader from Hoenn, and a former "Champion Master". So I'm still think the implications are that there's just one Champion, even if they're are regional E4s.
