Hello :3

A Fried of mine is always using toxic spikes with his Roserade in tue first round. No one of my team is able to prevent that.
 
A poison type that stands on the ground will absorb toxic spikes, a defogger or spinner will get rid of them, and steel types are immune completely to them.

EDIT: as Terra mentioned flying types and pokemon with levitate also don't get poisoned.

A Pokemon with Taunt can stop him from using Toxic Spikes altogether and also Magic Bounce users such as Espeon can bounce them onto his side instead.
