U.S., Australian Officials Pull Chinese-Made Children's Toys Containing 'Date Rape' Drug

Some 4 million Chinese-made Aqua Dots toys were recalled in the United States because they may contain a chemical which, if swallowed, can lead to a coma or seizures.

Way to check for saftey. Honestly, with all the recalls, you'd think that someone would learn to check the toys that their company buys before they buy them.

I agree with beta. Checking first might take extra time or money or whatever but it's better than wasting more time and money recalling it later.

5 kids are already in comas because of this.

This is going to be one hard Christmas. Already my mother is saying she will not buy a toy for my cousin's kid and instead will get him a silver coin set because of all these recalls. With a recession breathing down everyone's necks this next year will be interesting in terms of economics.

Too many palms to grease to keep traps shut. She like many in the regulatory commissions are pro-corporation and the more inspectors would make life harder on the corporations. The government under Bush so corrupt.
