We all know how "serious" Butch/Cassidy evolved to "funny" Jessie/James-like characters. Is the opposite happening now? Are they evolving into serious Butch/Cassidy-like characters?

Cassidy = Jessie
Butch = James
Dr. Namba = Dr. Zager

Will they rid Meowth, like what happened to B/C's Raticate? Any thoughts?
 
I don't think so. I don't think they will ever dump Meowth and I suppose that Dr. Zager will appear less often now, due to him having a lot of screentime in the subway episodes.

I think that Cassidy and Bart will also appear more serious when they appear in Unova, probably during a TP episode. But in those moments where they and Jessie/James are not facing the twerps or doing something for the sake of Team Rocket I think that they will interact in the same way as they did in "Sleight of Sand!".

I also imagine Jessie and James being forced to work with Cassidy and Crotch. That would be amazing, I am now picturing Jessie furious but not being able to externalize her rage, with a LARGE vein in her forehead. I think that with the subway plot gone we will have a few more episodes for Team Rocket as an organization, even though I don't think that Cassidy and Hutch will appear soon.
