I no longer want this, as there is no way to get it legitimately.

I need a bulbasaur with razor wind.
How to get it:

  • Teach a kabutops TM02 (razor wind) in Gen I.
  • Breed this with a totodile in Gen II to give it to the totodile as an egg move.
  • Breed this totodile with a bulbasaur, to give the bulbasaur razor wind.
  • Bring that bulbasaur up to Gen VI.

There's no way to transfer Pokemon from Gen II -> Gen III. Anything with moves exclusive to Gen I/II is restricted to those generations.

You transfer them to FR/LG/Emerald.

There's no way for them to connect. Gen II -> Gen III transfer doesn't exist.

From the bulbapedia page for FR/LG:
FireRed and LeafGreen were created as a result of the firstGeneration III games, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, lacking backward compatibility with Generations I and II. Trading between these games and the third Hoenn-based game, Pokémon Emerald, is possible through the traditional Game Link Cable.

While FireRed and LeafGreen cannot trade directly with theGeneration IV games Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, a player's Pokémon may be permanently transferred via Pal Park.

From the bulbapedia page for FR/LG:

It says right there in the quote that they don't have backwards compatibility with Gen I/II which means there's no way to transfer from Gen I/II -> Gen III.

It's not possible to do. I don't know why you think I'd be lying to you about this.

Only Ruby and Sapphire have no backwards compatibility. The others do.

I don't think you're lying, just misunderstanding.

FireRed and LeafGreen were created because Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire lack backward compatibility with Generations I and II. Trading between [FR/LG] and the third Hoenn-based game, Pokémon Emerald, is possible.

Yeah, it says that because Gen III as a whole doesn't have backwards compatibility (a bunch of Pokemon were just outright missing from the first (RS) games) FRLG were created to help that issue. Then it says that FRLG can connect with Emerald. Nothing about Gen I/II connecting with FRLG.

It's the article's wording that's misleading here and it should probably be changed since I can understand why you think it says what it does.

Nope, he isn't misunderstanding

The entirety of Generation III has no backwards compatibility with Gen I and II. there's a reason all pokemon existing at the time could be obtained between those five games

From the Generation II page on Bulbapedia
Another reason why remakes were made was the fact that the original versions are incompatible with Generation IIIand onward.

So I fear you can't get a Bulbasaur with Razor Wind

After looking at several other websites, I can confirm that you are both correct, and incorrect. It is not possible to transfer pokémon from gen II to gen III directly and completely legitimately. Thank you for correcting me on that.

It is, apparently, possible to do it with emulators though. The methods to do so are basically hacking in a pokémon with the stats of an old one, but then you might as well hack it in. I wanted a legit one, but since that is not possible, I shall cancel the trade request on the OP.
