Per: Jercio has been my strongest pokemon always. He is wicked on the battlefield. He strikes hard and fast. His resilience is astounding. He will fight and fight and fight until I force him away. He never wants to give up on me like I never give up on him. He was a late evolver. We didn't know what was up, but even then he was still strong very strong. When he did finally evolve into charmeleon we were so excited. Then into Charizard well... we're the great duo we are now. Jercio is my strongest pokemon not because of his moves or skills but because he won't give an inch.

I stood in behind the stage of the Ranger Hall auditorium. They normally held town meetings and other big events here, but today it was initiation. My initiation. I had only just passed my test, and now I was going head first into the world of Pokemon Rangers.

I meanwhile, was doing basically nothing, as usual. Just kinda chillin'. I was just the typical, casual Trainer. Just doing what I loved.

I was in a minor panic. I was wearing some formal version of the ranger uniform just waiting for them to get the ceremony going. It was like graduation, but bigger, and way more important.

So I snuck backstage. It might possibly be against the rules, but I frankly didn't care. "Hey,"

"As a Ranger I am obligated to tell you that you're breaking like seven rules, as your boyfriend THANK YOU." I said going to hug her.

I hugged him tight, with a beaming smile. "I'm proud of you," I said for approximately the fifth time today.

"yeah... Its just I wanted this to just be a normal thing not. Pomp and circumstance."

I made a hum of sympathy. "I know how you feel."

"Its just. I dunno. I'm not sure that this was the best idea now. I mean Primal hasn't done anything major. Yes bad, but nothing widespread. They aren't as huge a threat as I thought."

"Don't start. Today is supposed to be happy. No moping." I tapped my finger on his nose in a playful warning. "No."

"Fine. Now I'm going to have to ask you to return to your seat or I'm in a lot of trouble."

After a little while the Ranger head got up on stage and gathered everyone's attention.

"Today we induct a new member to the core. It is a rare occasion that we find a person skilled, willing, and ready enough to become a ranger without formal training or prior involvement. Though there are some who find that this is what they are meant to do, their destiny if you would. Now I would like you to help me welcome one such person. Jeffrey T. Riecher."

The Ranger head motioned to me, and I came onto the stage.

"Vee! Vee! Vee!" My Eevee, Vivi cheered.

"Shut-up or I'll put you back in your Ball." I hissed at her under my breath.

We went through all the rigmoral of induction until finally I was handed a badge and a set of Ranger standard pokeballs. After all our pokemon were also part of the ranger core.

"Ranger Head!" Someone shouted, "We're getting calls from all over Missouri. Violent pokemon attacks all over the state. Too sudden for rabies. Something is going on."
