Trainer ID and trainer sprites.

Does anyone know how the four trainer sprites you get to choose from for online use is determined--in generation IV?

I kinda remember it was ID based in previous generations; Trainer ID.

Does anyone know how it is determined, currently?

Specifics?

Like what sequences determine the sprites. And do the invisible ID digits have any effects?

It's actually determined by a guy you can talk to in a Poké Center lobby. Does anyone remember which town that's in? It's either Jubilife or Sandgem for sure. Anyhow, he asks how you'd like to appear to others. At least in Platinum for sure, I can't remember if it's the same in D/P. p:
