This is a topic to discuss the trainer rank system in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

I have currently been unable to locate what the requirements are to achieve each trainer rank, however, until today I assumed the five requirements are:

~ Defeating the Elite Four + Champion
~ Completing the National Dex
~ Winning all 5 Master Rank contests
~ Achieving platinum rank with Super Secret bases
~ Winning a specific number of Battle Maison battles (I assume it is 50)

I can however, confirm that Winning Master rank on all contests and defeating Lisia does not achieve a trainer rank upgrade.

I am now left wondering what the requirement is, if it isn't winning all master rank contests.

Feel free to discuss what you know, or what you speculate, the trainer rank upgrade requirements are.

There are just 3 stages, like XY. National Dex, Maison, and E4 are indeed the requitements, and yes, they probably have no use fpr this small feature anymore. :(

To be honest I had completely forgotten that XY had only three requirements until now. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, allowing me to remember.

In this instance, I assume the Maison is the final requirement.

It isn't even completing the National Dex. You just have to see every Pokemon in the regional Dex, ie fulfill the requirements for the Oval Charm or whatever it's called. I made Silver Rank doing just that.

I do hope Gamefreak decides to go back to 5 trainer ranks. despite the Maison being quite difficult, 3 is a rather small amount, and I would feel more accomplished achieving 5 requirements.
