where does everyone like to train in hg/ss. anybody have any special places they like because of nostalgia or to get the right ev spread or just because of the graphics. i still like mt.silver because of the different pokemon you see

My training spot is Victory Road, moving on to league, then the Mt. Silver. If EXP Sharing then Pkmn Trainer RED.

Speaking of Gym Leaders, how do you get them to appear in the Fighting Dojo?

can you start getting their numbers after you defeat them or do you have to do something else like defeat red or the e4 again

If you can click on that link you can see all the requirements to get their numbers and calling for rematches.

I like to train both at the Entrance of Mt.Silver, inside Mt.silver, and up on the side of Mt.Silver. The wild Pokemon there can be taken down easily, yet still give a good amount of Exp.

Well since i'm in the Elite Four I can only train against them. But I did train in Victory Road a bit before hand.

i wish they put more trainers on victiry road. it would have been a better training spot if they did

Pretty much Elite Four since there are no good training spots in (Heart) Gold and (Soul) Silver. (Pretty much the best training spot if you have multiple Lucky Eggs and an Amulet Coin)

Yeah, not as efficient as Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum in terms of trainer/Gym Leader rematches.

I completely agree with you on that one. But Victory Road didn't have any trainers besides your rival... unless you mean the route before Victory Road. Both of them need more trainers though. D:

EV training in HeartGold is being as easy to do as in Platinum, giving that for some reason the random encounters ratio is higher (I don't use the Vs. Seeker to EV train) and the battles end faster. There are quite a good number of areas with Pokémon under Lv. 10 that have species with a high encounter rate, so in most cases you can consistently find the Pokémon you're defeating without waiting too much time in the process (almost as if the Poké Radar existed in this game).

About the Exp. earning, I still consider the Vs. Seeker the superior feature, though I'm becoming accustomed to the PokéGear.

i agree with you about ev training in hg/ss but i never really use the vs seeker. i use the pokegear more. i normally get a couple calls. i think it all depends on preference

What I don't like is that I have to memorize or have a list of which trainers I can rematch in a given day; the Vs. Seeker is superior in this case because you can have multiple, consecutive battles without waiting for a specific time span, and besides there are quite a good number of Trainers in Platinum that have rematch teams up to levels 50~60 so the Exp. Points you earn are higher. The only exception is with the Gym Leaders that have a large time span and are free on convenient hours for me (noon or night), because although they have teams weaker than the Battleground counterparts (save for Blue), you can keep a cycle of calling-defeating them for hours.

my favorite is for lv1-40 is victory road then for 40-100 mt silver but these seems to be the standard for training in this game

right now it's not so much a favorite place as it is time.

Wednesday.

I can call School Boy Alan for rematches all day.

Call jasmine for rematches in the afternoon, Chuck at night and misty in the morning.

See here.

If I recall correctly, as long as it's within the allotted time, you can get as many rematches as you need. Trainers' Pokémon offer very good experience.

I just found that out a few days ago. Since then I've become a fan of the phone. I would like to see a schedule you can use for writing notes on time based events in the next games though.

You cant be at the same location as the person you are calling though.
