I think we can all agree, that Trick Room, especially when played well is nasty. It's on of my favorite strategies to use, and heres my current attempt at it (keep in mind, this is double battle, lv. 50, have 6, choose 4 format is typically what I play):

Dusknoir@ Leftovers
Sassy nature
252 HP, 252 Def. 4 Att.
-Trick Room
-Psych Up
-Shadow Punch
-Fire Punch

Smeargle(lv. 1)@ Focus Sash
nature doesn't matter here
0 EV's
-Fake Out
-Dark Void
-Endeavor
-(no move here yet, considering ExtremeSpeed, maybe Destiny Bond)

Snorlax@ Sitrus Berry
Relaxed nature
252 HP, 252 Def., 4 Sp. Def.
-Belly Drum
-Return
-Eartquake
-Self-Destruct

These 3 are what the team typically starts with, and isn't my original idea, but I simply love how it works. Smeargle guarantees TR gets set up, and has first attack for as long as TR is up. He can either use Dark Void or return and bring Snorlax, if he uses Dark Void, Snorlax comes out next turn, uses Belly Drum, which Dusknoir Psych Up's and they devistate. Unfortunately, I don't play super competitively so I've never used the 4th pokemon (which up until now was a Shuckle, but he doesn't work so well, when I try to use him). So I've been thinking about these 3. I would prefer you guys focus on these 3, as the top 3 do fine, and again, I love how it works.

Bronzong@ Macho Brace???
Sassy nature
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Att.
-Gyro Ball
-Hypnosis/ Toxic
-Earthquake/ Psych Up
-Trick Room

Eh, not sure too much on this guy. Solid pokemon, fits in the team, gives me another way to set up TR if need be. I'm just not sure on the moveset, and item, Gyro Ball is the only thing I'm 100% about.

Hippowdown@ ?????
Relaxed nature
252 HP, 252 Sp. Def., 4 Att.
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Curse
-Slack Off/ Ice Fang

Again, I need help with items especially, moveset looks solid, but I really only took one glance at what he's capable of learning. Curse seems nice as its something Dusknoir (or Bronzong if I teach it to him) could Psych Up. The team could use the Sandstorm too help bulk up their Sp. Def (which in almost all cases on this team is slightly lower than normal def.)

Slowbro@ Life Orb???
Relaxed nature
252 HP, 252 Sp. Def., 4 Sp. Att.
-Calm Mind
-Flamethrower
-Psychic
-Slack Off/ Trick Room

Yeah I told my one friend (who plays as well, maybe better and maybe a little more competitively than me) about putting Slowbro/ Slowking in TR a team, and he laughed. However, I was think this team may need a special sweeper to deal with tough physical wall like Skarmory, other Bronzong's etc. It fits that job well, EV's may need revamped to ensure 1-2HKO's on said pokemon.

Like I said, try to focus on the last 3, the first 3 were primarily to show you what I was going for. If Slowbro isn't needed, then I also have a fairly standard Brave Metagross built, that could also Psych Up Snorlax's Belly Drum, or Hippowdon's Curse. Other pokemon I've considered for this team (fairly standard builds) CursePert, Brave Metagross (as mentioned), Gliscor, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.

whoever your friend is, he's an idiot ahha slowbro are brilliant on trick room teams :)

the slack off/trick room quandry is tricky, because if you get in one or two calm minds, and then can keep trick rooming, you'll sweep. however, while your setting up your calm minds you'll take some hits, and you could use a way to recover the health :/

what about a mono attack set? oh, and give it much more defence, as it's special defence will be boosted by calm mind

what about

252 hp, 80 spD, 172 def
calm mind
surf
slack off
trick room?

if that dusknior's so defensive, then why do you play it like a trick rooming sweeper? give it will-o-wisp or something.

smeargle also sucks, unless you use it as a F.E.A.R. and thus save it till your opponent only has 1 pokémon left, and give it extremespeed. But then I still think there are slower pokemon for the job. Also give it attack ev's and an attack boosting nature, because leftovers might ruin the fear (they probably will anyway but ok)

Why Dark Void on Smeargle when he can have Spore?

Dusknoir is a sweeper because because he psych up's Snorlax's Belly Drum. With the 4x multiplier on attack, neither Snorlax or Dusknoir need any EV's put into their attacking stats to OHKO most OU pokemon. Smeargle works there, it guarantees TR gets set up. The only to get rid of the Smeargle turn 1, is to either have Hail or Sandstorm up and hit, or focus both attacks on him (one of which has to have speed priority). The reason I put Dark Void over Spore is because its a double battle team, and Dark Void hits both opponents more often than not, and almost always hits at least 1. Smeargle only needs to last 1-2 turns which he does very well, if he manages to last longer he can either use Endeavor and have Dusknoir finish of the pokemon or retreat, and come back later when Snorlax decides to Self-Destruct, and take everything on the field with it (with the exception of some steel, rock and all ghost types.) If I can get this set up, and I usually do, its really nasty.

Dusknoir is a sweeper because because he psych up's Snorlax's Belly Drum.

What?

I'm just going to quickly point out that Zong should be the lead with Occa Berry and a move set of:

-EQuake
-SR
-TR
-Explosion

Also, avoid having too many set up sweepers as they waste turn of TR. Slowbro is usually the only set up pokemon on Trick Room teams. You might also want to condider Porygon2. Not only does it counter things like DD Salamence and Heatran, it also sets up TR and can sweep if you want it to.

@jimiinthesky - duely noted. Surf is kind of a bad idea, because this double battle, and after a few calm mind's it starts to hurt my team mate a lot too, as none of them resist water. Also, I took off Earthquake on Snorlax, because after a Belly Drum, I KO'ed my Dusknoir once (oops overlooked that)... thats the only reason I ever needed my 4th pokemon in the Battle Tower and I lost that round (this is when I decided my Shuckle for the team doesn't cut it). I can't remember, I'd have to check, I replaced Earthquake with either Rockslide or Crunch

@mc2094 - yeah I understand the concern with the set up in TR, but with this team, the battle almost never last 5 turns. As once its up, Snorlax and Dusknoir OHKO everything, meaning they only need 2 turns to work their magic. I also have the option of Endeavor/ Shadow Punch to take care of everything, which at most takes 4 turns, but Smeargle usually dies before this is finished. If he manages to take out one or 2, Snorlax can come in and blow up, without setting up Belly Drum, and still do a ton of damage, or KO a lot of pokemon. Plus most of these guys are bulky enough, they can live to set up another TR if need be.

I'm sorry, I thought this was singles(as did a few others.) Disregard my comments then. I don't have much experience as far as doubles go. Though I do know that Machamp makes for an excellent member and that Lum Berry is used quite often and that Protect is a very important move in doubles. Also worth noting is Metagross who I feel would fit very well on this team in place of Smeargle as he isn't really needed here.
