Just got to say, how desperate was the guy to get rid of Wobbuffet? LOL at one point he offered it in exchange for a Sentret. Wobbuffet is quite a rare pokemon, and Sentret is pretty much, the first thing you will see in gold and silver, either Sentret, Ratata, pidgey or hoothoot. Then he offered it for a Stantler, maybe a slightly more sensible swap, but still Wobbuffet would probably hbe better.

I'm not sure what was madder though, making the offer or not acceptingtotrade a sentret for quite a rare pokemon. In the end, he got an allright swap, In Gold and Silver, Likitung is a bit hard to get.

And I liked all the things that Ash and Brock said, when they were trying to help Benny trade his Wobbuffet. That part was so funny! XD

After Ash won that tournament with his Tauros, I was amazed at the fact that dozens of trainers asked Ash to trade his Tauros. And of course he wouldn't do it, because he's so attached to Tauros! That was awesome! ^_^


Also, one of my favorite Johto BGMs was played in "Tricks of the Trade"!! It's the song they played near the end. And if I remember correctly, it's the song from Ecruteak City (anime version). I love that song!! XD

Its episode like this that gave people the impression Ash didn't like trades. Thank god the writers proved that wrong 8 seasons later when he trades away Aipom, a Pokemon who had a crush on him no less.

lol.
 
I hope they bring the crush matter again. It needs an explanation.
 
I think the ep that gave the impression that Ash didn't like trades was the one where he traded Butterfree for a Raticate. But that was to a guy he didn't know and he thought he'd never see Butterfree again. But with Aipom, he traded it to a good friend that he travels with.

As far as the crush goes, they never did explain Bayleef'ss crush.
 
Yeah, but as far as I can tell, Aipom's crush on Ash is barely even noticable (in the dub, I mean).

Because Aipom has only taken Ash's hat away from him a few times, and that was mostly in the early episodes of D/P....
 
He wished Ambipom good luck in its gym battle against maylene and she seemed happy about it, doing a flip.

The "crush" isn´t gone.
 
Its definitely not that visible anymore, back in late BF it was very blatant.

So what? I bet Dawn will do the same for Buizel when it fights, plus there's nothing wrong with wishing another pokemon good luck when it's going into a battle.

Are people still wanting a trade back? >>
